I think that if they don't post then we should change the password and only allow active members of this board have the new password. This was set up so we could have privacy....and I feel uncomfortable with the lurking.

perhaps we should make a post to the lurkers first, and see if perhaps they are just shy.. letting them know that if they do not participate, the password will change. Benefit of the doubt, KWIM?

Personally I don't see what the big deal is. Everyone on the list is active in the Sept PR. I just got the Pword a couple days ago and have made a few posts, so I hope you all are not thinking of me as one of the lurkers.

I suppose I feel the same as Amber- uncomfortable in the fact that someone who has no interest in participating at all being here watching us struggle/succeed/vent about the bodies that we are obviously uncomfortable with, KWIM? Otherwise this would just be on the main board for everyone on every board to see.
It's not like the mommy lounge, where people lurk all the time (although I don't think they should) but it isn't a huge deal because it's meant for all of our PR members. I think everyone who has the password here should have it with the intentions of participating, even if only a little.

Well I know that I have had the password for a little bit now...and I am very interested in losing weight, and making myself feel better. I am just a VERY VERY shy person, so I don't think that I would post pictures of myself...the measurements I might do...I mean everyone in here I'm sure feels uncomfortable about posting pics and stuff...I am just very shy, and I guess A LOT insecure about myself...so I hope you ladies understand what I am trying to say, and that I wasn't trying to be a lurker, I really want to be a part of this forum...and I guess that's why I haven't posted anything until now...hope this made some sort of sense.

Just letting you all know that I am not lurking, I do plan to participate--I promise!! I did post a Topic a while a go for this very reason. I totally agree that if you have the password you should be actively particiating when you can or explain your absence.

I won't be around until July 21st, so if you change the password I will just ask for it again when I get back

Could we maybe make this sticky to keep the list at the top? Maybe we should ask that pw holders at least reply to the weekly check-in even if they choose not to share all the info. AT LEAST they should let everyone know that they are still here and participating...

That's a good idea Jennifer, if it can be stickied. I also agree that all members need to at least check in weekly. I'm not comfortable at this point revealing measurements or my weight just yet, but will definately check in with wt lost and and update. Considering how hard it was for me to even start posting in here, due to my own insecurities I don't think it should be all that difficult for others to do the same, shy or not.
