After you had your son and they were circ'd did the docs tell you to pull the forskin back and clean?? I am talking once they were 1 to 2 months?? My Dr. did and I always tried and Hayden actualy eventually had a little grow back and the Dr. had to pull it back quit hard. I was just curious. I saw someone ask this else where and everyone told her to NOT pull it back when I sure as heck was advised to.

I'm not 100% but the way I understand it is if they ARE circ'd, then they tell you to pull it back. If they're not then pulling it back can cause tearing. Does that sound right to anyone?

We were told to gently pull it back if the skin tried to reattach itself... I had to do it for quite a while with both of my boys...

I wasn't told anything with Evan. He has a lot of extra skin so it looks like he's not even circ'd! I had to ask about it before they told me to pull it back to clean it, and to keep it from growing back. Matthew had a bell to circ him, so I never had to do anything.

I agree with Corey. If they are circ'd you pull it back just a bit. If not then you have to leave it alone.

WEll my Dr didn't tell me to pull back and clean and it wasn't until his 6 month check up that I found out that he had some skin grow back and it grew back so thick that when I take him to his 18 month check up I have to be refered to a pediatric ureologist and have it recut... I wish I would've known that before.. Now I have to go put my son through more torture....
