So it looks like I will be switching Drs. I have tried for days now to get in touch with mine to make my appt. She is booked solid and not returning my calls. The receptionist actually chucked when I said I would only see her!! I didn't like any of the other Drs (its a big practice) and the office is insanely unorganized. I absolutely loved my Dr. though so I dealt with it. If I am not going to be able to see her then I am NOT dealing with that office again. I also just found out that the hospital I had Ty is is having its maternity winf COMPLETELY renovated. Nice right?! My luck...right through spring 2009! So everything will be in the process of being redone. ugh

I found a small practice..only 2 Drs. and 2 midwives and they work out of another hospital with an amazing maternity department. The only drawback is its almost an hour away but the other one was 40 minutes so its not much more.

so enough rambling and back to the post They specialize in water births which I was interested in while pregnant with Ty but that hospital didn't offer them. Has anyone experienced one or know someone who has...thoughts? They just looks so peaceful...well as peaceful and having a baby can be! lol

I don't know that much about water births, only that people who do it seem to think it was a good experience. You could check out the natural childbirth board, I'm sure more ladies there will have info on it. All I know is that I would never attempt to give birth without an epidural! lol

My cousin did an at home water birth for her third after two hospital births. It went quickly, was less painful, and she recovered much quicker.

I wanted to do a water birth but my hospital didn't have anything for that. My cousin did a waterbirth and absolutely loved it.
