Anyone else looking into this for the spring or summer? Anyone already done it? I want to put Jordana in swim lessons, just can't decide the best place or time.

Have you checked out the YMCA?

There is one in New Brighton and one in Sewickley. The one in New Brighton is only a few years old but the one in Sewickley is in a nicer town. Either way I think they are both just about 15 or 20 mins from you.

Oh and New Brighton has a pool http://www.nbarc.net/Sunrise%20Pool/indexpool.htm that offers lessons. It's indoors and the roof opens in the summer time.

We just started looking into this last night, actually. We live pretty close to a city pool so we're planning to go to that one for their next set of lessons, starting in April. They also have a kids' swim time every Sunday with pool toys and stuff, so we're thinking of going this weekend. Jim LOVES water and he likes to put his face in the water in the bathtub, so it seems like swim lessons are a good idea!

The YMCA does gymnastics at 18 months?! I've asked around here (didn't think of the YMCA, duh) but every place I've seen that does real gymnastics, not just The Little Gym type stuff, won't take her til she's 3.

Thanks SJ! Once the baby gets here and I can get some kind of schedule going, I'll see about those.
