We were a little disappointed that we never got to see the baby's face today. She kept turning her back on the tech and was laying transverse which made it hard for them to get even a profile. However, DH said that he wanted to see what girl parts look like on U/S (because we found out her sex during our amnio) so we got a nice photo of her labia instead
Anyway, this last scan was the last check for growth and to make sure everything still looks "normal". After the nightmare we went through with the huge hygroma and all the worrying, etc., we are so relieved and grateful that everything appears to be 100% okay. After she's born the dr. said there's no greater chance of her having any sort of problem than there is from any other baby who scanned normally throughout a pregnancy. Our fingers are certainly crossed but again, we feel incredibly blessed.
The last few weeks I have been SOOO uncomfortable and the baby feels like a toddler inside of me and I know that every time I groan DH is thinking that I'm being melodramatic. Well, after all the measurements today, at 33 weeks our "little" girl is weighing in at well over 6 lbs, putting her in the 86th percentile. Kellan was almost 7 lbs when he was born @ 35 weeks so she seems to be outpacing him. The dr. said that if I make it to 39 weeks (which is what he prefers for my c-section) she could be well over 9 lbs. But, I do now feel very validated for all the complaining I've been doing because with 7 weeks to go, I'm essentially carrying a full term sized baby. Take that DH!! LOL!
Even so, I'm happy for her to stay put a few more weeks. I'm still not ready!!!!
And just for my June PR girls:
In case I haven't told you all enough....thank you for all being there for me through it all. Your prayers and positivity really helped pull me through when I needed it the most.

Lee, I just breathed a huge sigh of relief when I read that and then of course I teared up. I am so thankful that things have turned out ok for your little bean. I know she's going to be just beautiful!
I also wanted to tell you that I'm so happy that you seem to be in a better place with this pregnancy. I know things were rough for you with Kellan.

Cuz my week was crazy I missed this in the DDC, so I'm glad I got to seeit here. So glad everything is looking well. And holy big baby! GL with the pain now.
I'm so glad it was a good ultrasound and that baby is doing well. Can you believe she'll be here next month?!!
My DH gives me the look at times when I'm moaning and groaning about how uncomfortable I am. Like he wouldn't be complaining about a 6 lb. baby kicking his bladder!
