Grady loves the Wiggles but I don't know if I could take on a Wiggles cake. That must have taken a long time!! Tell me about how you did it.

Thanks ladies!

Jillian, have you done any picture transfers to cakes yet? What you do is find a picture you like and lay a piece of parchment paper over top of it so that you see the picture through it. Then using icing gel, you trace the lines of the picture that you want/need to transfer (basically just the outlines). Lift up your parchment and turn it over so that it is gel side down and place it on the prepped cake. Then take a small paintbrush and wet the brush then rub over the back of the paper to transfer the gel to the top of the cake. Then lift off the paper and go to down on drawing and filling in with icing using the guidelines. Hope that helps!
BTW, I made the cake the night before and iced it white. Then the next day I did the transfer and spent 2 hours decorating it! I used black butter cream icing to outline the characters and the icing gel to fill them in.

That sounds like a cool technique. I haven't tried that yet, but now it seems possible! Great job!

Also, I can never make black or red icing. I make all the other colors, but have to call the bakery and buy their black and red. They also said they order the black because they can't make it where it isn't bitter! How do you do it?
