Well, On Monday morning I put panties on Emily. Now, it's day 3 and she hasn't had any accidents... YAY.. right? WRONG! It's day three and she has yet to pee in the potty. She will hold it, the second I put her in her diaper for nap, she pees and poops. Then back up from nap, back into the panties and she holds it until bedtime when the diaper goes back on. I have no clue how to 'fix" this. She KNOWS what the potty is for. She has a little potty and she has a seat for the big potty, she knows she gets a treat and stickers if she goes, but she won't. I don't know what to do.
Any ideas? Anyone deal with this before? I don't want to cave and put her back in diapers, but I know holding it isn't good for her either. I don't want her to nap in panties because that's just a big mess.
Dylan does something similar...he holds it while he is on the potty and tries to hold it when he has undies on (not always successful though) and then the second he has a pull up on he pees or poops in it!! I've had a really hard time with him!!
I think the only fast way to "unblock" the situation would be letting her sleep without a diaper. She'd surely make a mess on the first day but I'm pretty sure she'd learn fast. Try to put a plastic sheet on her regular sheets and then put another regular sheet on the plastic one so when she pees you just have to take the first sheet and the plastic one off and then you have the clean ones ready to go.
Rhianna does this with poop she is fine with pee, takes herself to the potty but poop omg it drives me insane!! as soon as a nappy goes on (when she goes to nap) she will poop and i will have to change it, i keep telling her over and over "Do you need to poop on the potty before we put your nappy on?" and she says "no mummy" and she does
Megan, that's how Kayla was. We bought her a potty and set it up, and she sat and pooped on it. Put her in panties and she just used the potty. So easy! Emily... oh man, Emily is my "strong willed" child.
I'm going to get a plastic sheet this weekend and try panties for nap time.
Elijah does the same thing or he just pees and poops in the underwear.. So I have been keeping him in pull ups and sometimes he goes other times he dosen't.. I'm kind of out of ideas myself.. I was gonna ask the same thing if anyone had ideas..

So today at nap I put a sample pull up that I had on her. I put her in bed and not even 5 minutes later I hear her screaming for me, so I go check.. and she's crying, Diapy mama, Diapy. I said do you have to pee? She said yes so I tookher to the potty and she had already peed in her pull up. I might try panties and plastic pants tomorrow.
Yesterday we skipped her nap since we were at my Moms. Em was spending the night and when I called her at 7pm, she still had not peed... ALL DAY!!!! So my Mom finally put a diaper on her. How long can one hold it??? She will NOT pee in her panties and will not pee in the potty.
That is a STUBBORN kid. I would cool it for awhile and start again in a few weeks! Have you ever thought about leaving her full on naked? like waist and under? She HAS to pee sometime, how can a human hold it that long. Your daughter has some sort of super human will.
