Your Baby Can Read
We have been doing the program for a little less then a year now and Tayden can read aprox 130 words. It starts out as memorizing the shapes or even the order of the words and whats coming next but after a while Tayden began to know that "ing" made the ing sound so she knew walking sounded the way it did because she knew the word walk. Also, if she doesnt know a word she will always guess and her guess will usually have alot of the same characteristics as the word on the card be it starting with the same letter or ending with the same letter...so without even teaching her she has learned the sounds the letters make through repetition. She absolutly LOVES doing her words too and asks every day if we can do them. There are the flashcards, books, DVD's and sliding word cards.
Just think of how confident she will feel when she starts school! Does she understand each letter and the sound it makes yet?
