Has your little one starting writing letters and words? We went to a birthday party a few weeks ago and there was a 3 year old that was coloring with Maddie and wrote her name on the page. Maddie can't do that.
Can your kids write their names? Letters? Numbers?

Holden can draw an A.. sometimes a few other letters, but only when prompted. No numbers. He actually refuses when I try to get him to work with me in his workbooks. He doesn't doodle either

Nope, but we're working on it. She knows her name though if she sees it.

He can write his first name only. He "thinks" he is writing numbers or other letters but I can't make out what they are.

Jorja can write her name almost on her own. She only needs help with the R. She recognizes her name and our foster child's name. Honestly, her name is the only letters we have practiced printing. Moving on to other letters once we get her name down pat.

Jenny, Jorja also has NO time for workbooks. She enjoys them, but would rather just colour the pictures, and not do the actual work.

Emma can write an E and a couple of others when I make her, but she really isnt interested. When she sees her name, she knows what it says. She loves to draw and doodle though, she is constantly doodling.

Nope......school is helping, but she is stubborn and won't let you help her.

She can make a "K" and an "E" and an "A" that's it.

Not really. He can recognize his name and knows how to spell it and knows the letters, but he just can't write it out yet.

Ditto to that. I'm not concerned at all though, it's not like we've really tried to teach him how to write it. He'll have 2 years of preschool before kindergarten so I figure there is plenty of time for him to learn all of that. He can write a "C" and a few other letters but he's not that into drawing/coloring/doodling so it's hard to get him very interested.

Ava just wrote her name for the first time a few days ago. She does a A very well and did the v like a u. She just started that though and we have been trying for a while to get her to write her name. I was so proud, since I didn't write my name tell I was like 6.
