Hope you all enjoyed the long Labor Day weekend! What does everyone have planned for this week?

It still rainy and now chilly outside today so we will probably stay inside. Mikaela's cheer practice will most likely be cancelled tonight since it's so muddy, and Bryan has a dentist appointment at 5:30.
Tomorrow...take the kids to school and then I have to go get tags for our new cars and get groceries.
Thursday I have to go have that endoscopy done. Yuck. Not looking forward to that day at all...
Friday nothing planned yet.

Good luck on Thursday!

Clean, clean, clean, clean. Jay stayed home from work today, he's going to finish the sanding so we can clean and actually use our kitchen. It's so horrible!! There is dust EVERYWHERE!!! It's now migrating upstairs to our bedroom. :/

I'm trying to plan Jay's Grandma's 75th birthday party but no one is cooperating and it's annoying as h#ll!! The invites should have been sent out 2 weeks ago and I still don't have a list of names and addresses from my FIL.
He still hasn't called and booked the hall, so I can't put the address on the invites when it hasn't been booked.

I'm starting to freak out about Abby's party because it's suppose to be at our house and it's literally destroyed right now.
Then my brother is suppose to come up from Arkansas an stay with us and again.. house is destroyed and I'm really starting to get anxious over all of it.

Your house should be back in order by Abby's party though, right? That's a few weeks away.. I'm sure it'll all be fine! Did you seal off the doorway to the kitchen with plastic? That would help the dust from spreading into other rooms.

Melissa, I hope everything goes okay on Thursday.

Paula, I hope you can get everything back in order in time. I know it must be stressful though.

Ben starts school tomorrow! I'm excited and nervous for him. Other than that I don't have much in the way of plans. I've been trying to get some bows and tutus made.

Melissa, good luck on Thursday! I don't think it'll be as bad as the test you had so maybe the worst is over for you!

Paula, I'd be feeling the same way but I think things will come together faster than you think. I hope you can light a fire under your family to get moving on that party. You shouldn't have to do it all yourself.

Susan, if Brayden was fine today, Ben will have no issues! Good luck tomorrow!

I'm just getting a haircut today. Not much for today. Tomorrow we have a playdate and some errands to run. Thursday is my practice run for the Mudslinger and Saturdays the day. Very nervous as it's getting closer!

No, we didn't seal the doorway because it's a huge doorway and flows right into the dining room.
Dh stayed home today (did I say that already? I'm losing my mind) and he's sanding now. Should be done soon and we can start cleaning. We can't stain until all that dust is cleaned up.
I don't know if it'll be done by Ab's party. I'm starting to freak. We still have a TON of cleaning to do. Then a lot of staining, hoping we'll only need one coat because it's 8-12 hours between coats. Then we have to poly, light sand and then poly again and that's 24 hours between those coats.
THEN we have to finish up the doors and drawers and poly those and put the hardware on them and then hang them back up.
