With perthes disease we have to wait for a follow up appointment to come through to find out what treatment is needed for her but it means regular x-rays to keep up with the progress of the disease. I have been googling and all i have been seeing is plaster casts, wheelchairs, walking frames, hip replacements i am hoping she is one of the lucky ones and needs simple treatment, she isn't having a good day today we went to the park, she ran around for 5 mins before getting horrible pain and limping around while crying on the way home. It means no sport so she won't be able to join in with PE at school, or she isn't allowed to jump, hop or run! it's going to be hard to keep a 5 year old from doing these things!!

Oh my goodness, I had not heard about this! I hope she does have a mild case of this, and the doctor can give you some good and more detailed news when you go. (((Hugs))) That's so awful she cannot enjoy playing at the park.

I've never heard of that before. I hope that they're able to help her without it being to invasive.

Is this something she's always had trouble with or did it start recently?

She started limping in feb out of the blue! I guess that's when the hip socket finally started wearing down which causes her the pain to limp x
