Does your kindergartner get a lot of homework?

How do they do on it?

Are they excited to do it?

Leah has a few worksheets to do every month. The idea of doing it doesn't excite her, but if we say how proud we are of her work, she gets more motivated to finish the work.

Kayley gets homework at the end of the week and it's due that following Tuesday. She's not to excited about it but she knows it's her responsibility to do it.

Dylan gets a worksheet that is divided in 4 parts, so he does one small part each night and then on Tuesday and Thursday they have a small book to read also.

The cut off for starting kindergarten here is October 15th, so Finn makes it by exactly 1 week. So he is quite young for kindergarten. But we homeschool anyway, so that doesn't bother me. So he doesn't have any "homework" persay. But he does math (adding and subtracting), reading (learning sight words and beginning phonics type words -at, -ap....), and science (the human body is the current topic. We will be doing history this year as well. The 2nd half of the year.

Jaleigh gets homework every Friday and it is usually an overview on what the learned during the week. She absolutely loves it. The kid lives for school and learning. Makes mommy very happy.
