OT: DS Halloween Pics

Here are a few pics we took before DS went out Trick or Treating. The bat wings didn't come out very well in the picture, but looked cute up close. The other pictures were inside, before he was all suited up to go. He also had an adorable little treat black fleece bag I embroidered with the same bat on his overalls, and his name - just to match. The funky bat on the front is an applique I made up, kind of like the UglyDolls (If you're familiar with them). Anyway, they have a bat one, so that's where I got the idea.

We just went to a few neighbors then home, because it was pretty cold out yesterday. I had to put a fleece jacket underneath his black T, plus tights, plus gloves. We were hoping for a milder night, since the day prior was more like a spring day. No such luck

We also had around 50 treaters

omg those are so cute!! He's adorable!! And btw I love ugly dolls, that's a really good idea, I'll ask my mom do do something like that for the baby and Lyn

He's so cute !!! Our weather was great (TX usually is) and ds received gobbs of candy. The part I'm upset about is..4 people on our block hand out candy, and it's so dark...So we only had 7 trick or treaters. DH was bummed cause he had the graveyard and strobe, fog and music...it was so cool !! Well maybe next year!!

With all those decorations, it sounds like the block over from us - they go all out crazy for every holiday, LOL. We call it the Griswold Block at christmas (from Vacation). We're a more private block, buffered on one side by a large open/recreation space, and the other end an open space with walking trail. So people have to "exercise" to get over to us, LOL. One block over, our friends had nearly 100 treaters!!! She's on one of the two main routes through the neighborhood with no breaks in houses. Just incredible! I can't imagine what it's going to be like when they finish our neighborhood (just over 750 homes in 5 sub-sections). It's a great family neighborhood, tons of kids, and the schools are in the neighborhood - I love that.
