I have blue eyes, and DH has brown eyes. But each of us has a green eyed parent and green eyed siblings. DH also has a blue eyed sibling.

We can get anything...lol.

that's about identical to my family eye history as well! LOL

I have blue, DH has brown, my mom has blue, my dad has green... not sure of DH's dad, but his mom's are brown. And my brother has green, two other siblings have blue and one has brown... LOL go figure

If you hit calculate again, it gives you another probable result. lol.

I've had 5 brown to 1 green, but never all brown.

I'm sure Cora would have had green eyes.

If Jelly is a girl, I'm visualizing her with brown hair and hazel eyes (the calculator doesn't going into "half colors" like hazel. My parents' both have blue-green eyes. So I had to put in one blue and one green)

I wish there was a hair colour calculator..
Both the dad and I had platinum blonde hair as kids.. by junior high I had dark golden blonde hair, and his turned very light brown.

I wonder what the chances are of the kid having blonde hair as a child !

That is cool.

I don't get this b/cause my dad has light gray, my mom has hazel Me and my 2 bros have dark brown.

Dh mom has blue, dad, brownish/greenish.

The chart will only let you pick from blue, brown, green. My parents are definitely not either of those.

I always thought my children would have brown eyes. Owen's are blue exactly like his daddys.

Owen is left handed too. Not me, dh or our parents are but I read somewhere that is not genetic. Poor kid has trouble playing with his plastic golf clubs.

I was reading a little bit about the program, and it said that they still don't understand the relationship between genes that forms in-between colors like hazel or blue-green (both my parent's have blue-green eyes), different shades like gray or amber (yes, I knew a girl with amber eyes. They were beautiful). Or even people who have "green with brown flecks" or whatever. Or why two green eyed parents can have a brown eyed child.

To make it simpler, they just did blue, green and brown, and you should pick the color that is the "closest match."

They said they had identified 3 genes that influence eye color, but to make it simpler for the program, they only used to two that they understood the best.

So it's not perfect.

I had a site like this with Owen pg, but I can't remember what is was.

Yea, I knew a gal in high school with light turquoise eyes. Where did those come from??

my friend has one green and one brown eye! When I first met her i thought she wore contacts to be "different" but she hates them and wants colored contracts so they will both be the same, her DH says he does not want her to because he likes them and they make her her...though it is pretty neat. Wonder how that one happened?!

The eye color chart isn't accurate enough. Both DH and his father have light brown eyes, but not hazel. the rest of us have dark brown eyes.

We had a boy at the day care with one blue, one brown. It's trippy!

Mine said 50% brown, 27.5% blue and then so on...I REALLY REALLY want thid little girl to have her Daddy's beautiful blue eyes! I know the chances are slim but I'm hoping. Kayla has green eyes, like my Mom.
Most babies eyes change to their perm color by 4-5 months, Kayla was almost a year before hers changed. It was weird!

I have no idea, with or without the chart. I have a green ring on the outside with a hazel ring around the pupil. DH calls them my 'eagle eyes'. If our girl has red hair (which between his family and mine we are likely to look like the flippin Weasleys by the time we are done) he hopes she gets my eyes. DH's are grey, I couldn't tell you about most of his family, but in my family we have green, hazel, blue, and one of my brother's has cool eyes, too. He has blue, but they have a hazel outline and one has a hazel fleck in it. The only thing I know for sure is she won't have actual brown eyes.

Yeah, well, then I would have to wonder where I had been. I think DH might start wondering, too.
