I just got my doppler today but I don't know if i should use it yet or wait. I am so scared of not hearing a heartbeat so waiting might be better. Has anyone else got there doppler and heard a heartbeat at 8 weeks?

If it is something like at the doctors it should work. They say between 8-11 weeks.

I found my sweet-pea's heartbeat with mine yesterday at 8w,2d! I heard it again today too! I was actually suprised I found it so early. Everyone is different though, so you MIGHT not be able to find it right away. They say sometimes it's easier to find if you have a full bladder. I knew that I might not have heard the heartbeat this early, so I figured I wouldn't freak out if I couldn't. If you think it may make you too nervous if you can't find it yet, then I would say to wait another week (although I bet you won't be able to now that you have the doppler in your hands! )The last time I used a doppler, I found my baby's heartbeat between 9-10 weeks....Good luck!

I tried to use my doppler today and I didn't hear anything. Now I wish I would have waited because I am now nervous. I've had 2 miscarriages so not being able to hear a heartbeat freaks me out. I will try not to stress about it.

It is definitely nerve wracking trying to find it the first few times. A trick I learned is to have a fuul bladder. Then sit on the edge of the bed and lay back so that my legs are still hanging off. The earliest I have found one of mine was about 8.5 weeks.

I told DH I wanted one so anytime I was freaking out thinking something was wrong I could just listen to the heartbeat and feel better, but then he said "Ya, but what if you can't find it or something...then you will freak out even more!" Now I don't know if I should get one or not!!!! I think it would be so cool though!

I got mine yesterday and heard the heartbeat at 7w6d. It took FOREVER to find it though. My baby's beat was 168-177BPM depening on the time of day. It really is fun to play with. The kids were all excited and amazed to hear it for the first time.

If you would like to see pictures of my sweet (but tiny) boy they can be viewed at www.caringbridge.org/visit/noahdarrohn they aren't the easiest pictures to look at but I am willing to share them with anyone who would like to see them <3
On August 2, 2012 we lost Sarah at 17 weeks. She was our 8th loss Her pictures can be viewed at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/sarahdarrohn

I wouldn't get to upset. 8 weeks is super early to hear the heartbeat. Last time I was pg I had one and couldn't find it tell 11 weeks. Everyone is different so please don't worry if you can't find it.
