So, this was one of your basic, run-of-the-mill appointments. I gained 4 lbs!! YAY! I'm a little worried that I'm going to explode now...but I'd rather explode than throw up all the time!
So, it turns out that Dr. Allred's first child was stillborn too. It was amazing to have a Dr. who knows exactly how it feels. He was the first one to ask how I was doing emotionally with this pregnancy, and whether the anxiety was causing any undue stress. It was a great little heart-to-heart that we had. And he's the only one of the three who wasn't taken aback a little by the idea of inducing early, to him it was obvious. Drs. Barton and Crouch are all for it...but it just didn't occur to them right away I guess.
I didn't ask about the dopplar. When I asked him what the heart rate was, he said the screen on his was broken and he didn't want to ask to get it replaced because they were so expensive. So I just didn't ask about it >_<
I just wanted to thank you ladies for doing so well in keeping me sane. Honestly. I thought of all of you when Dr. Allred asked how I was doing emotionally.
Oh Brittanie I am soooo very happy for you. I am glad that everything went well and I am so happy that you found a doctor that not only understood what you were going thru but could take the time and speak with you. I can tell just by your post how much that meant to you. I am soo happy for you. Congratulations hon!!!!
Thats so great that he knows exactly what you're going through. He really does know how you and your husband feel. I'm glad your appointment went well.

I am so happy that you had a good appointment. I just knew you would! That is great that your Dr was so caring and understanding to your situation. I think that will bring you some peace of mind over the remaining months.
I am so glad your appt went so well. It seems like you have a great group of doctors that are really going to take care of you. Did you check on your U/S today?
I'm so glad you had a great appt!! Your Dr. sounds wonderful, it's great that he truly understands your concerns and fears. I wish we knew the heart rate, lol.
I am SO glad you have such a caring doctor who can relate! I know how great it feels to have a doctor who really cares and asks how youre doing. It makes a huge difference.
Yep, and it's exactly when I thought it was! lol! Still Feb. 13 @ 1pm. That makes it just 11 days away! (I just looked at my calendar and realized it's still on January! Oh dear, I'd better change that.)

He said it sounded between 145 and 150. It was 149 last time, so I'm not that surprised. I'm still thinking girl...lol! I was right last time, let's see if I am this time!
I'm so happy for you. My doctor is wonderful and I agree that you get what you need. I picked my doctor completely at random and when I couldn't get pregnant he talked to me about he and his wife struggling to get pregnant and having a miscarriage. He also has 4 children and is so excited at the prospect that I want a big family. He completely understands how I wouldn't have an amnio (luckily I have never needed one) and says he and his wife wouldn't either (they didn't even do AFP or triple screen testing). It just seems like he understands and it makes such a difference. I'm so glad that you have found a doctor who can really relate and give you the attention and caring you need during this special time in your life!
