I've been having this feeling in my stomach for a while now. It's almost like the baby stretches all out or something and causes my lower stomach to feel like it's tightening up. It gets really tight and super hard. it's painless, and doesn't last very long, but sometimes, it's kind of wierd. Is this what a BH contraction feels like?

I think so. I never had them (or at least wasn't aware of them) with DS, but I'm definitely feeling them with this one. So long as they don't hurt and don't stop you in your tracks, they're probably BH.

I am feeling that same thing and was wondering if it was BH.

I would say probably yes. Your stomach feels like it balls up and tightens really hard. They are uncomfortable, but should have no menstrul like cramping.

I have had them with all three of my pregnancies. They feel the same as real contractions to me but without the pain. And.... they feel exactly the same as real contractions with the epidural. They are not regular though.

I think you are feeling BH.

It sounds like BH to me also. Generally they are painless and your stomach will get tight like you described.

Sounds like BH to me. You could try drinking water to make them go away if they are bugging you.

This is all very strange to me because I have been having contractions for weeks, and they DO feel like menstrual cramps! My SIL and doctor said that they are BH. I never have had a painless one! I'm still confused by BH and regular contractions, because all of mine do hurt.

From my experiance..

BH contractions usually happen when baby moves..
and then u get the tightening feeling you girls are saying u have..
and it can feel like pressure.. like baby is pushing on ur tummy ..
but they should be painless.. altho some women find it uncomphy and some even think there going into labor.. cuz it hurts to them

Real contracts
i felt it in my lower back, pelvic area and the pressure.. and pain where u have to breathe thru them
and they come regularly.. for me they come every 2-3 minutes.. sometimes less then that.. and they last for like 35 -45 seconds long.. thats why they kept me in the hospital..
if yuor contracts are irregular and not that painless or even if u have a bit of pain..
its probably my guess BH.. hang in there ladies..

and i hope i could help a lil.. BUT i suggest.. ahaha from experiance... call your doctor..
asap.. if your in pain.. and ur worried..You never know.. !!!

Sounds like BH to me. Sometimes my BH are a bit painful in the hoo-ha area... but mostly they are painless.

When I was having BH contractions it would feel like the baby was trying to push out of me and my stomach would ball up on one side or down low. I thought it was the baby... when I was having contractions bad enough to go to the hospital I had the same feeling but with lots of cramping and it hurt. And it felt like consistent cramping and like the baby was pushing and stretching on me non stop. Turns out I was having contractions every 2 to 3 min.
