yesterday I was at the mall with my friend walking around and I felt like I was going to pass out, very dizzy and hot feeling. She went and got me a juice even though I had water to give me some sugar. It seemed to help a little then we were in another store and felt like that again so we went to get something to eat even though I did not feel hungry, since it had been awhile since i had last eaten. I have been drinking more than enough water through out the day. I have a couple water bottles I fill up each morning that have measurments on them and I drink those plus juice and milk. so anyways the rest of the day I was fine until last night, ity happened again. then this morning I cleaned up around the house and was playing with the girls and I had to sit back for awhile because once again I felt like I was going to pass out I was so dizzy the room was just spinning. Tori got me some water and then I had her get my cell phone and I put it on my freinds number just in case. In a few moments i felt better. Baby has been very active the last week or so and still so the last couple days. Anyways do you think maybe i am not getting enough to drink that my sugar is low or could it be something more and i really should call the Dr? Oh and after each time I have gotten a litlte headach. but it see,s eating or drinking seem to to help. but I really thought i was drinking enough water, but maybe I need to drink more juice for the sugar or something? This has never happened with either of the girls.

Sounds scary! To me it sounds like either a blood sugar drop or a blood pressure drop. It could also be that you are anemic. I have had blood sugar drops similar to what you described: they come on really quickly, and make me feel hot, shaky, very nauseous, and like I will pass out unless I get some sugar in me fast! Not fun....

It could also be a drop in blood pressure. I have heard that that happens a lot in the 2nd trimester (can't remember why though). If it's not that, it could be that you are anemic.

I don't think any of these situations are URGENT, but I would definitely mention the episodes to your doctor the next time you go for a check up.

It may just be low blood sugar or the fact that you have more blood flowing through you now. I feel that way sometimes too. It almost always seems to happen in the grocery store. You might want to try getting more sugar in your system and maybe mention it to your Dr.

I agree with the other ladies it sounds to me like a sugar or iron problem. I would just talk to my doc about it he can run some tests and fix any diet needs that need adjusted. good luck and just try to take it easy if possible.

Ive had this exact problem. i had it all throughout my pregnancy with DD and ive had it so far through this one too. my doc told me some women have bad dizziness as a pregnancy side effect for them. but she told me to make sure i drank plenty of fluids and to rest enough. and to always sit down when i start feeling that way. my sugar is fine and iron checks out so its never been the problem. dont really know what causes it but i get spells almost EVERY time i go out, expecially if ive been in a store on my feet for a little while. its scary!

Have you had your glucose test yet? It really sounds to me like that could be it. If your sugar goes to low, you can pass out and be extremly dizzy.
I HAD to eat before I went to bed or when I woke up my sugar was too low.
I used to carry a candy bar in my pocket just to give me that quick burst of sugar until I could get something else when I needed it. You might want to do that.
It's a very scary feeling and if it is your sugar it's serious so I'd call your Dr and see if they can get you in to check your sugar levels.

You might also be anemic, and they could put you on iron pills.
