Will you send out baby announcements after the little one arrives?
If so, what type will you send?

I plan on sending photo announcements that has a picture of Kayla and Emily. It will read:
Kayla is proud to present her new sister, Emily June Sloan.
With the date and weight, etc...

I was thinking about doing something like that. When this one is born I want to get in right away and have some pictures of Matthew and the baby done-so I will probably have them make me some announcements. DH has tons of family in Vermont so that's where the majority will go.

I might do it. I will probably do the same thing as you AnAngel. My husband has an 11 yr old daughter. I will do something like...Amanda would like to introduce her new brother. I will put on his name (once we decide what it is), birthdate, weight, and everything. I want to get their pics done together not long after he is born.

Honestly? I'm cheap. I found out through a friend sending me one that you can send a 4X6 picture as a postcard. So, what I'm going to do it take a blank white onesie, and have printed on it Jelly's name and birth stats, and then take a pic of him/her in it and send them just like that to family.

That's what I was going to do with Cora.

I think that's a cute idea Brit. The only thing I'd worry about with a postcard is it getting wet or ruined in the mail.

Since Thumper is our first I may be a little extravagent, at least with family. I have some friends that scrapbook, so I may ask for their help to come up something cute. For everyone else I will probably just go to Circuit City, have a bazillion photos copied, and buy a set of print-your-own-cards to send out with the photo.

I think I'll be sending out photo announcements, too. I'm getting newborn photos done, and the photographer has a printable photo announcement as a part of all her packages but the most basic one.

I've done all sorts. The last ones I did to announce my daughter were much more expensive and "frilly" - they came unassembled with vellum and ribbon and we had to put them all together, but they were really cute.

This time around I don't know...I'm pretty creative and i love to do crafty stuff, so depending on how crazed I am once he actually arrives, maybe I'll try to do something myself. Otherwise, I may just do the ol' Walgreens special...photocard with stats.
