If you know what the sex of your baby is, do you think the oldwives tales are true, or apply to you?? like carrying higher for a girl, craving sweets for a girl, sour for a boy, and whatever else...... I think it would be interesting to see how accurate they are for us. I'm on the surprise list, so I have no idea...

The heart rate was true for me and I guess carrying high, everyone says I am even though I think it's low. I craved sour stuff though, so that was wrong.
The ring test for was for me, it said boy.

They were almost completely wrong for me - the one thing that was a big tip off was this pregnancy is completely different than my others. I have two girls and this is my first boy.

They were completely wrong for me. I had no idea I have 3 boys and I completely thought this one would be a boy too. But surprise. So No i have no faith in those tests.

They have pretty much all been right for me! The only weird thing is that I was carrying REALLY low in the beginning, but now I think it's higher.....

It went both ways for me. Some of the cravings indicated boy while others indicated girl. I seem to be carrying kinda in the middle. The heart beat at 11 wk ultrasound indicated girl but the second one at 20 wks could have really went either way. So I had no idea til they told me that it was a boy.

With both girls, the heartrates indicated boy.

Carrying, I couldn't really tell you. I don't really carry well... Both I carried like lumpy sacks of potatoes... They're in my sides, all up front, lumps and bumps everywhere... no roundness, no high or low or in front or to the sides... Then again, I'm small framed and tend to have pretty large babes, so that could explain the lumpiness.

I think that a lot of them were right for me. Her heartbeat was high, i'm carrying high, but like a watermelon, i craved fruit, i'm not very hairy, and the ring test always said girl. It's funny cause i totally convinced myself she was a boy, but when they said girl i was like duh!!!

the only thing that was really different is m/s has not been as bad this time around as it was with the girls. I am still breaking out, and I crave sweets like crazy...chocolate is the best! And I did witht eh girls as well! I am not carrying any different yet, all my babies have been very low. I have actually been eating oranges more this time than I ever would have thought about with the girls. But the ring test said boy, and when I take the quizes they all said boy, and the chinese chart said my girls were boys and this one was a girl so they were wrong but right all at the same time you know. Not sure what the heart rate has beenw ith this one or with my girls so no help there. But really like I said over all the only thing different is m/s and I still get sick and it was super bad just not as bad as witht he girls.

All was off for me... There were some right things and some really wrong things.... Online tests, even now that I know, always say I have a 50/50 chance of either gender. LOL!!!

For me HR was opposite. My girl seems to be the slowest. I am gaining the same, carrying similar, about equally sick. I will say that this time (first girl) my hair and skin kind of look bad and with my boys not so much. Also I am the most tired I have ever been but I also have two young boys. The online indicators did point to girl but I think that was just chance. I think the only thing I really can say is that my mother's intution was right every time even though I really discounted it this time because in my head I thought I was bound to have a boy.

The way I am carrying this one gives it away that I am having a boy. Brit could tell before she looked at my siggy. But for the rest of the old wives tales, I am about 50-50. Beginning of the pregnancy it was all salty/sour foods, and now I am starting to crave sweet. The heart rate is about 145. So that could go either way. The ring test said boy. And I was carrying low, but now he is starting to move up a little. Mothers intuition said boy, but I think that was mainly because she really wanted me to have a boy. My Dh said boy because he wasn't going to accept anything else!!

Everything was right on target for me..sour food cravings..I am carrying very low..and the pencil test was right!

For me the only one that I can really go by was the ring on a string, and it has said that I was carrying a boy and girl since the day I found out I was pregnant, I'm not sure if I am haveing a boy and girl, but I know that I am having twins, so I count that as right in prediciting twins.

Here's what happened to me. First of all, I craved fruit, which is supposed to indicate girl. Before I even knew I was pregnant, I did the "tie a ring on a string over the belly" thing, and that indicated I was pregnant and with a girl. The nurse at our last appt said the heartbeat was in the girl range. Frankly, my mother's intuition said girl all along. Now, I just hope the u/s tech was right, since all he said twice was, "I don't see any boy parts."
BTW, I had a "reading" from Cheri in July that said something about either March or June and girl. I'm due in June with a girl.

Things that would indicate I am having a boy: carrying low, looking more like a basketball than a watermelon, ring on a string test, have great hair/skin, no m/s, mother's intuition.

Things that would indicate I am having a girl: HB over 150, craving sweets (probably because they're restricted)

And it turns out I'm having a boy, so... yeah, I'd say overall things were more accurate than not.

All things pointed to girl for me, but I'm having a boy. The only thing that's changed is that now that I'm further along, my belly is definitely all out in front like a basketball.

Well this one is a boy and i am definatly carrying lower, VERY low. my daughter was up higher for sure.
the heartrate thing was wrong of course, he had a high heartrate, in the 150-160s the whole time.
Im still craving sweets, just not as much as i did with DD. But i dont crave sour -- i have had a turn off from eating a lot of meats though.

Im having a girl and i am craving sweet things the ring test for me said boy though and so did that chinese calendar. The heart rate was between 130-140 though
