I am Emily a 33 year old (34 in April) mother of 2 and 1 on the way. My DS Kyle is thirteen and my DD Hannah is two. It is wonderful for my daughter to have a big brother around who loves to watch and play with her. He even took a babysitting class! I do not work at the moment. I got pregnant with my daughter right after I graduated with my BA in art.
My DH is wonderful. He teaches high school history and is currently working on his law degree too. he is such a strong man emotionally and always there for me and the family. He was diagnosed with an incurable cancer (Small B cell Lymphoma) right after our daughter was born. It was a total shock, but we are dealing with it wonderfully and taking each day slowly.
I am so glad I found this forum and will enjoy meeting you all on a more personal level.
Congrats and welcome. I am sorry to hear about your husband, It must be really hard. If you don;t mind me asking, how is he doing?[/b]
Hello Kristenv1980,
He is doing really well. He has an appointment in two weeks to actually see what is really going on with him. The doctors now think there might be two cancers going on at the same time (sigh, hence why I am on Lexapro). A marginal zone lymphoma and a large B cell (large b cell is curable with a certain chemo). If the appt. shows the nodes growing slow then we are just dealing with the marginal zone lymphoma and he will have to continue chemo every two years or so. He did really well with the first chemo treatment nine months ago so that is a big positive. it was a very hard decision to have another baby, but we both agreed he could live to be 90 with this cancer so why live life in a "doom" state. I have my days but overall we are doing great as long as I keep pumping him full of vitamins and health foods (he says yuck!) lol
Thank you for your concern
Congrats and welcome to the DDC!! I am sorry to hear about your husband. Although, you and your family sound like wonderful, postive people. It is definetely an inspiration to me to hear about people who are going through stressful times and manage to keep a positive attitude.

Tell him good luck with his next appt. You guys will be in my thoughts and prayers. I had a childhood cancer myself and went through a full year of chemotherapy and had over 6 surgeries. Keep us updated!
