my contractions haven't gone away at all.in fact my lower back feels worse,, and the sharp pains are all back.i feel so tired and light headed.my neighbor came over to check on me, and i told her about what happened, and she said if i have to go back, shes going with me so i can get my answers.she's mean when she gets mad.i was thinking of calling Tricare and asking if i could go to a civilian hospital instead after my bad experience.im not sure if im going back yet, i dont know what to do.im so terrified about his heartrate.

does anyone know what will happen as far is what they'll will do with the baby if its still bad?i know he said something about if it doesnt show improvement, most cases they would take it.but i just don't know how.do they make you go threw labor?i mean, they wouldnt do an emergancy c-section on a 19 + week pregnancy..right?i wish my doctor from last night answered these questions, cause now im worrying myself.

i would not care if they sai di could go or not.. id pick up and go.. something COULD be going on with that baby inside of you, and i think a hospital bill is worth the trip to a hospital , you can just say you dont have inc and tell them to bill you , you cant be turned away.. http://parenting.ivillage.com/pregnancy/pc...0,,4rs8,00.html

good luck but if its uptome i would just go to another hospital to attempt to save that baby

I'm so sorry Amber

I was on TriCare (when I was with my ex) when I was preggers with Thomas. I ended up just going to a civilian hospital. If it is an emergency they will generally take care of the bill. But they will probably try to drop you from Tricare Prime into Tricare Standard (you'll have to pay 80% of the bill up to 1,000 - after the thousand, tricare will pay the rest in full)

My sister was 20 weeks when she went into labor with her son. They induced her and she gave birth to her son. I'm not sure if they would do the same but that is what I have heard. I'm just praying that it doesn't come to that for your little man. my heart is just breaking for you since you don't have ANY answers

They induced her at 20 weeks and the baby lived? I don't mean to scare you Calimom and I could be wrong...but I thought they usually didn't even attempt to save a baby before like 23 weeks? I hope i'm wrong on this..anyone know?

Cali if your heart is telling you to go in,I really think you should. Don't worry about being too demanding or annoying-they should have taken care of you in the first place. If you need to go somewhere else to get some care please do so. I know it's difficult, but you have to get whatever help you and your baby need.

Oh no! Sorry about that - no, her son was alive for about 5 minutes, then passed away and they deemed it a stillbirth. I really thought I put that in there. I had a train of thought going, but didn't read it over before I posted. I agree - you need to get the care that you DESERVE

See i removed something in my post about me thinking @ this stage if the baby did come i think it would be a stillborn, i did not know they could live under 23-24 weeks and they had a hard time then, but i *could* be wrong, I wish the best, but i would go to another hospital that can do more then tell me to take something people take for a headache.. idk thats JUST me.. i hope everything turns out ok! my T&P are with you and your family!!! I thought no matter what they give meds to stop pre-labor and keep peopl ein the hospital ect ect, idk i feel bad you are going threw this, i wish th ebest for that little one and you

yea, i kinda knew that would be the outcome if it happened.she kept saying they wouldnt be able to do anything for it, and all i could think is, i rather have his heart rate monitored instead of going home, and the babying dieing inside and me not knowing it.i rather know what was happening.ya know?

I would really go to a different ER! I would want to know and get answers to all the questions you have and if you go to a different hospital I would hope the dr there would give you more information and watch your baby's heart rate. Good luck and I will keep you and your fam in my T&P.

The youngest I have ever heard of a baby surviving is 22-weeks, but that's a scary thought. I would be so livid if they didn't give me some flippin answers! They would have probably thrown me out of the hospital for being a *****!! Who says that a girl that is, what, 2-weeks further along then you gets the proper care and attention? Unfair and completely unethical! Don't go back there! I would go to a civilian hospital, no doubt about it, and if you are still in pain, I would go right now. Good luck!

I agree that you should maybe go to another hospital. I know it might not be cheap but you could get on a payment plan or something. I am sure it would be worth it to you. I have heard a lot of times about them giving certain medications to stop preterm labor. I can't beleive the crap care you got at the military hospital. Thinking of you.. Let us know.

I am so sorry that you are still in pain Amber. I agree with everyone else go to a civilian hospital. You need to find out what is going on with your little baby. I will keep you and your baby in my T & P.

The youngest yet to survive is 21wks 6days. Generally though the baby isnt considered viable until 23-23 1/2 weeks.
Most drugs do not work at 19 weeks to stop labor but sometimes they do. There is no reason they cannot admit you and at least try. You really need to go elsewhere and at least get a second opinion.
