Had my 38 week checkup today! We set an induction date of 1 week from today if I haven't gone into labor yet!  I can't believe it! She estimates that the baby is about 8lbs now, and will be 8 1/2 lbs when we deliver next week. She checked me, and was going to try to strip my membranes again, but I am still only a fingertip dilated, so she couldn't strip my membranes, so she stretched my cervix instead to encourage it to dilate.
My last day of work is Friday, until I go back at the end of August. I can't believe the pregnancy is really coming to and end! This whole thing seems so surreal.
Anyway, that is my update!

Wow! That's really exciting! And 8 - 8.5 is a good weight!
Is there a particular reason why you're inducing? Did I miss that?
Anyway -- very exciting news for you... a definite end in sight!

July 2009: Clomid 50mg CD 5-9; BFN August 2009: Clomid 50mg CD 3-7; BFN HSG Aug 27/09: Tubes are clear! September 2009: Clomid 50mg CD 5-9; final cycle on Clomid; BFN
Referral to fertility clinic sent Dec 1, 2011.. the wait begins
December 2011: Vit B6, Folic acid, Preseed, OPK's + temping... and lots of praying
April 3, 2012: Initial consultation done at fertility clinic. Starting Prometrium to induce AF, doing b/w and pelvic u/s and doing Clomid x 3 cycles

Wow thats awesome Marie congratulations!!! Its kind of funny, we cant wait for our pregs to be over, then we have an actual date its like OMG, maybe Im not so ready after all.  Thats awesome, just a litttle over a week.

u know what, that's what my doc did with Jayda...i was 1/2 cm and he stretched my cervix and then i went into labor that entire day but had lost my mucus plug the night before.
it's exciting that you'll have your baby in a week, that's gonna go so fast, enjoy memorial day weekend and have a blast. I can't wait to see all of the babies! Someone should make a baby picture collage when everyone is done that'd be cute.

We're inducing a little early because she is estimated to be at least 9lbs by my due date, and I really want to try to get her out before she is too big for me to deliver vaginally. So, we're inducing a week early when she is expected to be around 8 1/2 lbs or so.
Santashelper-- you are so right. All along I have been looking forward to the pregnancy being over, and now that it almost is, I am freaking out a little! Crazy how that works!!!

Oh exciting! I'm ever so slightly jealous! But it's just 2 weeks for me, so that's not bad.
Hopefully you go into labor on your own soon, and your delivery is smooth!!
