I went to look into gym memberships today and one gym actually refused me because it was 'to soon' after my section to work out. She said it takes 6 months for the muscles to heal in my abdomen...any other section mommies hear this???

My first initial reaction to your statement above well...frankly I would tell 'em sorry if my dr releases me?
Then I am good to go people...! ***then tell'em to pound salt***
I know thats what I have read all over /in all my books/forums and friends too + dr! If I am medically released?
They have no say unless its written policy somewhere?????????

Tell 'em you wanna see -> it !

Wow! I haven't heard that, but I guess they want to protect themselves unless you get hurt.

As soon as I'm not in pain I do whatever I want. There are some things, like ab exercises that take a bit longer to be comfortable, but I trust my body to let me know what I can do. Six months is completely crazy! I was pregnant again by that time after my first section! clearly my muscles were able to handle that much stress! I would find a new gym.
