I have had a very crampy feeling in my lower back all day. I haven't felt the baby move much today which is unusual. I just went to the bathroom and after I finished I stood up and pulled up my pants. A second later I felt this weird pop and then just a tiny gush of liquid. I pulled my pants back down and sat back down and only a little more came out.

I don't know if it was pee or if my water sprung a leak. I know this sounds gross but I tried to smell my underwear to see if I could tell but I couldn't tell and wasn't about to sit there all night sniffing my underwear. Right after this happened I felt a tremendous amount of pressure and more cramping.

I have been feeling some crampy tightening in my lower back and belly since then.

Could this be it or more false hope?

A weird pop huh? I don't know. You don't really feel the membrane break...but it could be. You could call up your L&D and see what they say. They may want you to go in and check to see if you're leaking fluid.

It's natural to be. Don't be scared, your body was built to do this! I hope it's really something, and not something to get your hopes up only to continue with being pregnant for a while!

I'm not going to go in yet. I want to labor at home for as long as possible. I am going to go take a shower to try to relax for now. Plus I want to feel as clean as possible when I get to the hospital.

OKAY YES! But about the pop.. I would trust the gushes for sure and still go in BUT with the pop..I wonder if it's the same thing I had.. I had no gushing though. I stood up after peeing like you and heard a pop...later that evening same thing.. you know what it was? It was the baby's head and body against my back cracking it LOL. But the water and contractions sound promising get your tusshie in there! We're you group b positive? I was told because I am if I even suspect my water has ruptured to get in there.. I will have to labor at the hospital if my water breaks before contractions because of being group b positive but if you're not then labor away at home!!

I really hope he gets here this weekend Susan!!
