Well, it all started from the last couple of days, I haven't been feeling very well, getting bad period pain, sore back, bad heartburn, you name it, it hasn't been a pleasant week for me. And this morning I woke up again because of really bad period pain and sore lower back. I didn't think anything of it. I got up and did my usual thing that I do in the morning, have my breakfast and check my emails and JM, then I went to the bathroom because I felt something come out of me (tmi), I just thought it was the usually discharge but when I put my pants down, there it was, on my panty liner, mucous mixed with blood. I'm not sure if it is though, but from what I've been hearing, it can be. I hope I don't go into labour too soon. I'm not due until 11th September, not only that but my OB has gone on holidays for the whole month of August and will be back at work on the 5th September. I hope he doesn't come before the 5th September. I'm going to have to ring the replacement doctor today and see if she wants to see me. I'm starting to have my doctors appointments every 2 weeks now, so my next appointments will be 8th Aug, 22nd Aug and then when my OB comes back 5th Sept. I'm shaking from being so nervous, I'm going to pack my hospital bag today, just in case. I'll let you know what the doctor told me, I'll be ringing the doctors office in half and hour.

UPDATE:
Well, my situation is like this, I went to L&D this morning and yes I have lost part of my mucous plug, they have started giving me steriods which I need to take 4 injections all up every 12 hours. They wanted to admit me in the hospital today for observation but I didn't want to. I still have things I want to do before Joshua gets here, the doctor thinks I'll be going early too, that's why she is giving me the steriods to get his lungs all matured just in case he does come early. I'll be going back to get my second injection tonight at 10.30pm and again tomorrow morning at 10.30am and tomorrow night at 10.30pm. The doctor told me I can't do a thing, so it's bed rest for me until he's born. If he can bake until at least 10th Aug then he wont be a premie. I better go and lay down and make sure I rest so I can prevent an early labour. I will keep you all posted.
I can't beleive my due date buddies Sevannah had Austin, her beautiful baby boy yesterday. When something happens to me then it happens to her, and when something happens to her it happens to me. So lets see if I have Joshua next. I hope not, please send me stay and bake longer vibes!!!! Oh, and to top everything off my doctor is on holidays. I'm so ######ty about that. I hope Joshua will stay put at least till she gets back which will be 5th Sept, but the way things are going now, it doesn't look like it.
sounds like your plug. did it look like snot? thats what mine looked like. like a huge snot ball with blood mixed in it. they always look so nasty. but don't stress. labor can be so far away. and it can always regenerate. just drink tons and tons of water.

Yeah it did look like a huge snot ball with blood mixed in it. Gross hey? I'll make sure I'll drink heaps of water. Thanks sweetie and let us know how you are going too!!!! Looks like for some of us, it's problems after problems from now. Downhill!!!
i'll try to keep everyone updated. it's been an on going thing with my blood clot and spotting. i go in so much now, that they gave me my own straps for my checkups. lol. i mean its good they get me in there to watch everything. they say theres a slight risk of needing a csection, depending on what happens in the next few weeks.which im scared, because i've never had surgery.but if anythign starts to get worse, she said we'd have to talk about inducing.
but we'll see how it goes. she told the nurse for tomorrow, that if she says any contractions on the monitor to send me right back to l n d. and im really hoping my contractions dont show, i dont want to get another pelvic exam. monday i had 3 in one day, yesterday i had one, and i got a break today thank goodness. i dont think i could deal with another one. they hurt so bad
sounds like your plug but don't get too excited It can regenerate itself and it can also be weeks before you begin labor. I didn't lose mine at all with my first pregnancy until I was in active labor. Then with my 2nd one, I lost it around 10 days before I went into labor...
you can never tell and the baby will let you know when he wants to arrive

momtojacobalisha actually i'm not too excited just scared. I know it can regenerate but there is always the chance I can go asap too. I will make sure I get most things done today just in case.

I lost a little bit of my mucous plus a few weeks ago and nothing ever came of it. That being said, it's definately best that you call and get checked out, especially if you haven't been feeling well anyways.
Anna Hunny, hope all is okay! I sent you a pm, I have a good excuse for being MIA lol. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and try to log on when I can for support! I will tell you one thing, the fear thing what I said earlier is true. I did manage to sleep through some of my contractions when I was 5cms. and before I asked for the epi. Also, to mention i have a degenerative disk in my L5 and had no problem with the epi. Ask for a second opinion on that if you can.
