Ok, so I have let Evan lick a popsicle *giggles* He liked it. My mom the other day (gosh I could strangle her) was going to give him a lick of her ice cream cone. I got up real quick and kinda hollered at her not too. "Oh it won't hurt him" she says. Umm ya, he's lactose intolerant LOL.

i know a little won't hurt them but we've been trying to do everything the doc. told us (probably since were first time parents) but when she was only a few days old my mom came over to watch her and i went to take a nap she gave her a taste of peppermint candy!!! she said her tummy hurt then the other day my mom was over and was eating a cinnamon roll and gave her some of the frosting on her lip. i told her not to but she did anyway, and she wonders why makena can't spend the night with her.

I think it is a first time mommy thing. I was like that with Kayla, so by the book, etc.. My Mom and Aunt flew to England to see Kayla when she was 4 months and on the train trip to our house, I looked over and my Aunt was letting her suck on a cherry licorice. I FLIPPED! My Mom said, you turned out ok didn't you? And I guess it hit me, oh yeah, they've done this before. lol

I was like that with Matthew-and I agree, it's definitely a first time mommy thing. I would get SO mad at people for giving him tastes of food-too much salt in it, too much sugar. I was really anal LMAO

The only thing Addison has tasted besides breastmilk is formula a couple times when I was away from here and there wasn't enough frozen breastmilk to last until I got back. But that was only a couple of times.....other than that, she's only ever tasted mommy's boob juice.

yea i touched the spoon of some homemade vanilla ice cream 2 his lips..i wouldn't say he tasted it..but i really got a kick out of the face he made!!

She had a taste of some homegrown squash I mashed up for babyfood, and she really likes tomatoes.

Just breastmilk here. I was anal about not letting any of them have other stuff until I felt they were ready. MIL always tried, but I would just stop her cold and be like sorry, my kid my rules.

Oh ya I had me some cotton candy and I had to let Jazzy have a little taste. She LOVED it, of course, and her paci has been dipped in my tea before.

I am way to anal to try anything on Megan yet. So far all she's had is formula, Mylecon drops, and some breastmilk and colostrum from when I was BF'd her. Tomorrow she'll get some grape Tylenol though since she is getting her shots.

Both Angel and her brother were suckin on home made spagetti sauce at 6 weeks old and Angel's grandpa gave her sips of coffee at about 3 mo. Guess it didnt hurt her any.
