How much did your babies cord smell before it fell off? The papers all say there will be a slightly foul odor, but I was wondering how much. Just this afternoon Loren's started to smell. It's not horrible and it doesn't look infected but I can get a whiff of it as I hold him. Thanks!

Arianna's didn't really smell that bad. It had some slight discharge, but I didn't really notice a strong odor.

When Tyler was a baby his smelled horrible! I don't know why but I think someone told me that when the cord falls off it is rotting off. Gross I know! But make sure and look for redness. If so call the ped.

Tylers took 3 weeks to fall off and the last week it smelled TERRIBLE. I would actually change his clothes again and again because I felt like the smell was sticking to them! haha I called the ped. and asked he at each of his visits again and again about it. She said it is normal, some just smell bad and as long as there is no major oozing or redness then it is normal. I couldn't wait for it to fall off because the smell was making my stomach turn.

I was just wondering this! I started smelling Levi's pretty good yesterday. It finally dawned on me what it was. I hope it falls off soon! I can smell it while I'm holding it, and it doesn't smell too good.
