Ava is getting either Parent's Choice with Lipil or Enfamil with Lipil (Enfamil is what WIC gives us). She's been spitting up a lot but not necessarily more than when she was EBF. How would I know if we needed to switch formulas (to AR or something)?
Thanks!

I had this problem too, Ethan is on Enfamil Gentlease. The doctor told us that spitting up is common and is more of an inconvenience than anything else. As long as it isn't bothering her I'd just deal with it until her throat flap valve thing (that is the scientific word I'm sure!) matures. You could try the AR but I had problems even thickening with 3/4 T rice cereal per ounce. I just clean up the puke and move on.

Oh, I think Will was/is on AR maybe Jessica could help more on that one.

i'm sure if its not anymore than usual then she is probably fine? makena gets both of them too, and i guess they are exactly the same because she doen't have a problem when we switch back and forth

i dont know much about it... but i've heard too that spitting up its normal for most babies as log as she is not really throwing up or having diarrhea or other symptom that could be the sign of an allergy or intolerance... but i dont know if that is what you are wondering about... i will try the other one to see how she does!! but i hope that you find the perfect formula for her!!! i agree i think Jessica knows more about it!!

I agree with the others, if it was the wrong formula, I think that there would be a very large amount of spit up.

If it really isn't much more than normal that you probably don't have to worry about it. If you are giving both kinds of formula that could be upsetting her tummy a little bit.
