When do you plan on phasing out the formula, and starting regular milk?

Ill probably do the same thing I did with DD....

Around 9-10 months old I slowly started adding in Reg Milk in with her formula...At first I did like 1/4 milk, then I did 1/2 milk and so on until she got used to it enough that I was able to change it to Reg milk all together. Which was right around 12 months, so that worked out well.

I've never really thought about when but Melissa's idea sounds good. I'll try that.

I'll probably wait until closer to a year because I don't think they're really supposed to have milk until a year. I wish we could go off formula sooner because it is so stinking expensive. I'll probably ask his Dr at his next appt which is the 9 month in March.

At their 12 month appt, their Dr will give you the ok, if they are ready for regular milk.

so they will be eating like 3 meals a day of baby food and what not, + formula?

i guess they wont be needing as much formula if their tummies are full of food.

Hmmm.... I just switched Caden from Nutramigen to Similac Isomil this weekend. He's had issues with milk based formulas, so I'm not in any hurry. I'll go with whatever my doctor recommends on this one.

you're not supposed to put them on milk until they are 1-and it needs to be whole milk. With Matthew, I was breastfeeding and when his top teeth came in at 10 months I had to stop because it was so painful. Anyway, he refused formula, so I just started on milk then and he loved it. With Evan, I might wait until he's 1 year adjusted age-depending on what his dr says.

Angel was i 2% milk when she was 3 mo old she could not hold down any formula not even the awful soy thy had so we switched to cows milk and she did great on it . But back in the old days we had doctors who would really listen to their moms of the babies we were with them 24 7 after all

At a year old. We didn't have too many problems with Camille when she turned a year old. We just replaced a bottle a day with whole milk and after a couple of days she was on regular milk.
