How often are you giving jarred (or homemade) baby food? Ava is six months today, and she's on about day 15 of "solids". She is only getting one jar of stage 1 and some rice cereal afterwards. I can't remember when we gave Aiden more than that. What are you doing? When did you start giving "solids"?

Happy 6 months Ava!
I started Ben when he was about 5 months and 1 week because he was starving all of the time. Now he gets stage 2 or the equivalent of it in homemade food twice a day. He gets a fruit in the morning and a veggie at night. I have tried rice cereal and he didn't like it. The Dr suggested making it with some juice so I'm going to try that.

Rock won't eat them, I try, and he just won't eat them, but I've tried like every other day lately, I think I skipped two days here, not out of the jar, not rice cereal, just from the boob, and occasionaly from the bottle...hmmm...

I started her on cereal with zucchini broath at 6m4d waited 3 days and added carrot then waited another 3d and added potato (i just use them 4 the broath, she's not allowed to eat the veggies yet). She gets it once a day at 12pm. She eats 4 full spoons of cereal with 6 oz of broath and 2 teaspoons of extravirgin olive oil (the one her granpa made). The next things will be other cereals, pear and then meat.

Dylan started baby foods around 4 1/2 months I think.
He is on stage 2 foods now and eats them 2-3 times a day.

Gracie gets 2 stage 1 jars a day, one of fruit in the morning and one of veggies in the afternoon. I can't feed her late in the day or she'll be fussy all night. She started baby food around 4 1/2 months, but we just started on 2 jars a day in the last week or 2.

Rhianna is only having cereal in the morning with her bottle and then three other bottles in the day she is just NOT interested in anything else at all, and im not going to force her to eat. She is getting so big and chubby on just her milk, she gags on solids and ends up choking herself because she dont want it.. I read online to see if its normal and found out alot of babies dont go on solids until 9/10 months aslong as they are growing fine its ok.. so im just going with her flow

I started introducting rice cereal alittle after four months old, and then some jarred foods after five months. We are doing a friut or veggie in the afternoon and then rice cereal at night because he was having a bit of stomach issues when he was doing jarred foods at night. He really doesn't show a whole lot of interest in solids. I am trying to give him a little bit everyday to get him used to the spoon. He's still mainly on BM.

Teo's doc just told us to start in on rice cereal and fruits/veggies. He has a very small amount of cereal in the am and pm, and 1/2 jar of a fruit or a veggie at noon. We will be making homemade baby food after the holidays, but right now my free time is nil! So I am giving him jarred food, and benefitting from my decision to give him things I am less likely to make at home (squash, for example).
He is ALL ABOUT the solids... loves loves loves 'em.
Otherwise he is breastfed the rest of the time.

Nola hasnt' figured out solids yet. i've been trying, but she has no idea what she's supposed to DO with the food! How can you teach a baby how to move food to the back of her mouth and swallow?? She's getting closer though, at least now she can get the food to the back of her mouth and gag it down... poor kiddo. But she's definitely not starving, the chunker

We started the cereal at 5 months. Ashton gets food once per day right now. At dinner time, either 2 oz Bm with cereal and applesauce or a jar of veggies and then applesauce if he's still hungry.

Lorelei gets a stage 2 jar, twice a day. We will be making more of our own food after the holidays too!
