I completely missed out on Caden's first Christmas. Christmas Eve night around 10, I came down with the 24 hour flu. I literally spent all night and part of the morning in the bathroom. It was awful and the worst part is that I missed everything! We were luckily at the IL's, so they took care of him and took him to his great-grandparents for the day while DH stayed with me. My MIL took a ton of pictures and kept calling to let us know what Caden was up to. I'm so bummed, but I know there's nothing I could have done and there will be many more Christmases to experience. It just stinks that this was the first and we missed it.

Oh sweetie I am so sorry. That stinks. I have been there. I got the flu for one of my children's 1st Christmas. I hope you are feeling better.

That stinks! When I was a kid I got food poisoning on christmas eve and had the same type of experience I'm sorry.

Aw, I'm so sorry!!! I hope you're feeling better now. It's good that he was well taken care of and that you were getting updates and they took lots of pics, but I'm sorry you couldn't be there.
