Will has been on Stage 2 for a couple weeks, but I'm confused on the desserts. When should they be introduced and how? Like after a normal meal for them or on their own at a different time... Not so sure about those. Help.

Personally, I don't plan on using the desserts. They don't really serve a purpose for now. He only eats one container at a time and I don't want to give him a dessert as a meal. I know the kid I babysit sometimes gets one container of a veggie or fruit and then one of the dessert ones.

We never did the desserts with Nellie, and don't plan to with Lily. They don't add any nutrition, only empty calories, HFCS, sugars, and fats.

I have only fed Dylan desserts like 2 times it was like in the afternoon after he had had his "lunch".
With Mikaela I usually gave her the desserts when she was older, like around 9 months--Id feed her a little if she was still hungry after she ate her normal "meal"

Okay good. I was standing in the aisle the other day looking at them and I know I had a weird expression on my face because I couldn't for the life of me figure out what their purpose was. I had been buying stage 2 but never even looked at the desserts. I wanted Will to go through the veggies and fruits before I ever even considered them. Now, I won't.

I think in some ways I'm just weird and overprotective about that kind of stuff. It's just that I've always been such a poor eater that I want better for him and I hope that by trying to feed him good stuff I'll do the same for myself.

Courtney never cared for them when people got them for her (people were always giving me stuff) so I never did give them to her, I mean if it was on the shelf, I was gunna use it, but she didn't care for them, so I never bought them...I don't have the money to be wasting on stuff like that now, so whatever!

Interesting that they would have desserts..I better not give Jayden any to try..both my hubby and I live on desserts ha..I already see Jayden loving fruits a whole lot more than veggies..im sure its because fruits are sweeter..

Emily gets them and loves them. A little dessert here or there isn't going to harm them. If she gets a taste of sweets now, I don't think she'll sneek them and want only them when she's older. Too sheltered isn't always so great either.

I'm not planning on giving her deserts. I figure why give her the sugar, when I can give her extra veggies instead.

I have given Hayden pudding but like a couple spoon fulls after dinner and he liked it..but I don't think I am gonna waste my money on them. He just started meats so he just eats a jar of meats for dinner and is satisfied.

ok, I'm a bad mommy. I let Evan have them. Not every day or anything. But I can't seem to get him to eat veggies, or the dinners. I still try, but it's usually a waste. So he usually gets the jarred cereal. A few times a week I'll give him the banana yogurt (which he LOVES) or a dessert.
