How long before your wedding did you start preping for it? (Looking at gowns, setting a date, getting a place, etc.)

4 months, thats when I got my engagement ring--in Feburary--and we got married in June. We were already living together.

First date: September 25, 1998
Got engaged: September 25, 1999
Got married: September 23, 2000

Now we are planing our daughters wedding. She is getting married Aug 8, 2008

We started planning right after we got engaged.

I didn't...lol He proposed in February and we got married in April, in Florida. I went the DAY BEFORE my flight to Florida and bought a dress to wear and his wedding band.

We didn't have a wedding, we eloped in Reno.
We met the end of July 2000, and got married Sep 5th 2000, then got preggo the beginning of Nov 2000. We didn't waste any time!

Moved in together in August of 2001
Got engaged October 7, 2001
Married June 8, 2002

We got married exactly 1 year from the day we met. IT was a whirlwind, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

we got engaged in march 1999 and it was offical with the ring may 1999 and we got married august 11th 1999

We started dating May of '04, got engaged New Year's Eve, and married June 17, 2005.

So, 6 months between engagement and wedding.

I asked this because we are getting married in the church next year. We're married according to the government and our friends and all that such, but we're having the WEDDING next year. Nobody got invited when we eloped in Vegas, though my work friends were mad I didn't have them come down to the chapel and watch. But, I have a friend who got engaged around the time Rock was born...a little after...and she's been planning her wedding since then, and it happens just after Rock turns 1, and she's totally freakin' out that she won't be ready...so she got me thinking, "Well, when do I start planning?"

I know I have to go more time than a few of you, cuz you have to take the marriage prep class at least 4 months before the wedding, so it'll take time for me to do that, and I don't know how much our church has to be reserved in advance, but I know it is a little while, so...it is just hard to say.

We didn't have a wedding either, but I've wondered about having one later since I missed out on that fun!! I doubt that I'll do that though, seems like a lot of work.

We started dating September 10, 2002, got engaged about a month later. We started living together about a week before we got engaged. We didn't get married though for over a year, because of my dad's illness. I still wish that we could have had the wedding before he passed away, but I'm so glad we were able to get married on his birthday at least, in honor of him.

My first I guess about 3 mo my second we lived together a year bought new jeans and shirts went up to city hall and got married then had a big party a couple weeks later for family and friends.
