I know Ive heard some of you say they never close your schools. Well we woke up this morning to "snow" and all the schools are closed. I just had to share what a snowday is like in TN! Those roads are dangerous to us, lol!!!!

Ash that's what it looks like here only there's a bit of snow and then a nice layer of ice. My entire car is covered in ice. The kids here have school but there were some in the area that had a delayed opening.

It's funny that they cancelled school there for that little bit!

Seriously! You have to have snow up over your house to get a snow day here.

ROFLMAO!!! That is hilarious!!!! They don't close school for anything here. Like Ashley, there would have to be snow over your house to get shut down!

Yeah! I know. There is no ice out there, the snow is now blowing around on the road, so I can see there is no ice. When I was younger we used to get a couple of decent snows each year, but now, thats as good as it gets.

They've closed school here a couple times this year, but it was for severe winds and subzero temps. They didn't want kids standing at bus stops or walking to school. So they closed it.

But, being from Vegas, I know what you mean by a little snow being dangerous. I remember one year it actually snowed on Christmas Eve. School was already out, so that wasn't affected, but there were so many accidents! Vegas gets lots of accidents when it rains too.

We have had TONS of wind lately and below zero and they still go to school, some days I get mad because it's still open. I feel horrible Kayla has to walk in that crap because I had to when I was little and know how much it sucks!

OMG! That's so funny! My IL's live about an hour from us closer to the Wisconsin/Illinois border. Last week, they got almost 17 inches of snow. 17! It sounds like Tennessee would literally shut down.

I spoke too soon! We got BLASTED yesterday!!! A foot at our house, more in other areas... and major wind. There were several school buses that got trapped on the freeway with kids on them, the kids got rescued and spent the night at school or at church in some cases. Several schools are closed today. Tay's school started 2 hours late!
