This is kinda silly but I am curious how you prevent water going into your little one's ear when you wash their hair?? It was easier when they were laying back in the infant tub. But now they are sitting up...so what do you do??

I just let it go in her ear lol i usually wash her ears inside with a little sponge as they get rather sticky and yukky in there so the shampoo gives them a good clean

I don't.... I just don't worry about the water in her ears. Neither of my girls have ever had an ear infection, so it's not a concern. I do sometimes take a baby q-tip and clean out the water, but not usually.
I lay her down in the water to wash her hair

I usually don't worry about water going in his ear, unless it's a large amount. I think most of it that goes in comes right back out anyway. I need all the help I can get loosening everything up in there so I can gently clean it. I'm always afraid I will hurt him.

I don't really worry about it either. I lay him back in the tub to rinse his hair out. That way I don't have to worry about the shampoo running into his eyes.

I usually just cover his face with my hands and just rinse his hair. I don't really worry about his ears. I will dry them out when I dry him just to make sure. But I don't think ya have to worry about it hurting her unless she was going under the water.

I don't worry about it either. Kayla has had one ear infection her whole life (knock on wood), and I did her's the same way. I just wash her hair and rinse it with a dixie cup, I put my hand on her forehead to keep most of it out of her eyes but other than that, I don't worry about it.

I use a cup made for washing kids hair. It has rubber on it that presses against the forehead to prevent water from going in the eyes. It works pretty well. I got it at babies r us.

I just lean her back and pour water over her hair to rinse then I wipe her ears out with her wash cloth after that. It hasn't really been a problem I guess.
