Yup, double ear infection Number 5 This is 5 since Christmas, 4 in the past 6 weeks

Waiting for my ped to call me and let me know where to go from here. We saw the other one at the practice I like this morning, and he's going to talk to her and one or the other should be calling me later today.

I'd take him for tubes today if I could.

Poor Ashton! I know I was just reading something about recurrent ear infections the other day. They say that it normally isn't separate ear infections. It's one that never quite clears up and the keeps flaring up. It will appear that the infection went away but it really didn't. Let me go see if I can find it for you.

I hope he feels better soon!

My baby gets repeated ear infections. Can ear tubes help?
Babies with multiple ear infections — which, for many children, is actually one ear infection that lingers on for months despite antibiotic treatment — may be good candidates for ear tubes. This procedure, known as tympanostomy, is the most common surgery performed in North America on children under 4, according to a study in the Canadian Medical Association Journal. In the United States alone, doctors perform roughly one million ear-tube insertions each year.[/b]

Thank you Susan! I know we're headed for tubes, it just depends on when the ped says yes... They made a HUGE difference with Taylor.
