Nope not yet. I think your supposed to wait until after 1 year unless there are egg allergies in the family...then you need to wait until 2 years old.

I haven't yet. If you are going to give eggs you should only give the yolk. Babies under a year shouldn't have egg whites. They are a common allergen. If there are any egg allergies in your family you may even want to hold off until 18 months. Amie (megansmommy0531) just posted about this and some people posted info there. Let me go find that and bump it so you can read it.

The reason I was asking is my SIL has been giving my nephew eggs since he was 6 months old. She said she actually started him at 3 months old.. I didn't think you could start them until a yr but she told me you can.. That is why I was undecided..

Yeah your SIL might want to do a little research before she feeds a baby something like that. Most babies shouldn't be eating any solids at 3 months let alone eggs! Wow....I really don't even know what to say.

Well, we weren't planning on letting Aedan have eggs... And we went to IHOP; when the waiter served us our food he put DH scrambled eggs right next to Aedan... The boy grabbed a handle full and started eating away... Later that night he had bright red cheeks (they literally looked like cherries... And yet he hasn't had any reactions to his flu shot or anything else that contained eggs... So, we are going to wait longer before letting him try plan eggs again...

Our sitter gave Caden eggs a few weeks ago and he didn't have any type of reaction. Last time we went to breakfast with my family, my sister fed him a spoonful and he loved them. Once again, no reaction. So, I'm not going to be cooking any up for him anytime soon, but if he tries them every once in a while, I'm okay with that.

Erin's had stuff with eggs in it, but no straight eggs yet. I was going to wait until after a year, although, since she hasn't got teeth it would be something great for me to give her.
