I am looking to get a new computer. Right now we have a Dell Desktop. I have had it since 05 and bought it brand new but now its just starting to run slow and I keep cleaning it and it still moves slow most of the time. So I decided that I want a laptop. I just dont know what kind to get. What would you suggest?

You sound just like me. We have a dell desktop that was purchased in 2005 also. I'd looooove a laptop. but, i just can't afford one right now. I'm interested in hearing suggestions though

I have an HP Laptop and DH and I love it. We have had no issues with it at all. We also have the Netgear Wireless g Router (one of the cheaper routers) and the two work great together.

I don't know how much you are willing to spend but I saw in this Sunday's ad a deal at Best Buy that was killer, it was called the PC Home Makeover deal. $1199.99 for a HP Mini Netbook, HP 18.5 Widescreen Monitor, HP Desktop Processor, Netgear Wireless g Router and an HP Laptop!

Im looking tops 700. Leo and I both agreed to take 1500 a piece from his settlement and spend on whatever we wanted. So he is buying a new tv and I want a new computer

It is a good deal Gena, when DH and I saw it we really considered it. We only have the laptop, but sometimes it would be nice to have a desktop one too. But since holidays and with the baby coming we know we can't do it right now.

I am sure you can find a good deal for 700 Michelle. I think we paid about 600 for ours and like I said it has given us no problems. It's a bigger one too 19.5 in screen and great picture.

I think you could definitely find a good deal for 700 or less. I'm a Dell girl and will always buy dell. Let me look and see. I know there's a really good laptop from dell. I will post the link as soon as I find it.

YAY for having $1500 to spend on whatever! What are you going to do with the rest of the money after you buy the computer?

I've heard nothing but fantastic things about the Dell inspiron. Alot of people I know have the dell inspiron 15.

lol I don't know. Im not a big spender. Most of my money goes to stuff for the kids and I always get buyers remorse.
