Venting lol. I was really tired today, and was taking Anna to Starbucks to get a chai. I set my purse down in the passenger side so I could help her into the seat, and must have hit the lock button. I closed her door, went around to the drivers side and everything was locked tight, including my house. Scary! She can get out of her car seat, but hasn't tried lately and was too hysterical to follow directions once she threw her car binkie and realized mommy couldn't get her out. DH was in Washington for work training, but a neighbor brought me the number to a lock company. They came in about a half hour, but Anna was so upset she puked all over herself. Once they got the door open, I took her out and she clapped and said "thanks, I lived!". Poor girl. What a day we had :s

awww I think that happens to a lot of people!! My mom did that to my sister when she was a baby-luckily she was asleep! lol
I locked myself out of the house when I was on my way to take Kin to the ER once. She hit her head on the door frame, busted open her eyebrow-I got her in the car and locked the house..then realized I didn't have my keys. So I had to crawl through the window (pushing the bed out of the way while opening the window) just to get in the house to find out the keys where in my purse on my shoulder the entire time! All the while Kinley was ready to go to the ER....boy did I feel like an idiot! lol

Oh no! I hope tomorrow is a much better day! At least you didn't have to call the fire department, that happened to my neighbor and they made her pay for the call b/c it was't an "emergency"! Plus they had to break her window, so she was out even more $$$.

oh no! that is terrible!!
were you getting the chai for anna, or for you??
my mom ran into the post office once when my brother was 2 or 3, she left the car running with him in his carseat. (back in the day lol!) and before she got back to the car, he had unbuckled himself, and locked her out. he was laughing and smiling and wouldn't unlock the doors. she begged and pleaded with him, but no luck. then he started to get upset and cried, but still didn't unlock the doors. maybe he knew he'd be in trouble. my mom had to have someone come and unlock the car for her, and she NEVER did that again!

Lol the chai was for me, though I tend to let Anna to drink the foam at the bottom of the cup Thanks for the stories though, it helps to hear that I'm not the only one scatterbrained enough to do that! I thought of calling the fire department or walking to it but my neighbor convinced me not to, smart man

Oh no!! I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm glad you didn't have to get the window broken - would have cost you $$ and scared the heck out of her. I have nearly done this SO many times.

Don't feel bad, I did it when Carter was about a year old, in the middle of the summer!

Ugh! I am sure you both were just paniced, *hugs* I am glad everyone is ok. I agree with the other ladies, it happens to everyone. I locked myself and Lauryn out of the house in the dead of winter last year. I know how it is. I had to climb onto the roof of our padio and break into our bedroom window!

Oh I know how you feel! Did that when Braedyn was about this age. But the little bugger locked the door himself cause he climbed out of his carseat then decided it would be fun to draw birds with a bingo dabber on the windows!! Thank goodness he unlocked it finally for us just before we were going to call a tow truck company!! Hope your day is better today girl!!

Oh No!! I'm so sorry that happened!! Riley locked herself in one of our bathrooms when she was about 2 and it was an old door and had a weird kind of lock that I couldn't open! DH was out of town, Riley had started to cry and Darian and I were panicking and JUST on the point of getting hysterical knowing Riley was in there with the toilet, bathtub, etc.... when she all of the sudden unlocked it again and walked out! Horrible feeling!
