Ok I need some SUPER easy recipies for dinners this fall. Jacob is still nutso and DEMANDS dinner at like 5:15 every night so I need food that takes like 15-20 minutes to throw together.

Anyone have any ideas that are warm and hearty? They don't have to be super healty, I can health nut a recipe out pretty good with a little thought. I just need some ideas, I am sick of pasta and such. hehe

Oh that isn't regular noodles and red sauce with something added to it hehe. Ziti, meatballs, lasagna, etc. I need other noodle stuff! hehe Both kids love noodles

We did homeade pizza the other day and that was a hit, so was chili.

This is something I made a week or so ago and I think of it as a fall thing. It's a crockpot dish so you could let it go while you were working. Don't know the name of it, my sister gave me the recipe.

1 1/2 - 2 lb pork loin
1 lg onion halved and cut in slices
2 apples peeled and chopped (I used macintosh)
2 Tblsp apple jelly
1 Tblsp cider vinegar
salt and pepper

Put all ingredients in a crockpot and cook on low 7-9 hours

It smelled so good and the pork just fell apart and was so juicy and yummy.

Most of my meals take awhile to get together. I prepare and cook them on my days off, then we have the left-overs the next night when hubby & I both work. I was on bedrest for the past several days so we've been eating crap, lol. One thing we do a lot lately is get a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store, and have it with instant brown rice and frozen broccoli. Then after dinner hubby picks the rest of the chicken off the bone, and we have it the next night in tacos or quesadillas, which are a snap to throw together. Sometimes we will just open a can of fiesta vegetable soup and throw the chicken in along with any left-over rice and veggies we have.

I LOVE making chili when its cold outside...I usually make cornbread with it for DH and we top with shredded cheese.

I know I posted a few recipes a few months back in the Recipe thread up top..one with hamburger meat, pasta, diced tomatoes, golden mushroom soup, zucchinis, beef broth-very good! And Roast you can do in the crock pot -I usually make mine in the oven-takes 4 hours....check up there-the recipes I posted are the only things I make! haha Although I'm thinking tacos tonight because I've been craving them and they are easy! Kinley just eats a taco salad instead of with a tortilla or shell!

the other night i tried out a new recipie from my local mom board.

Chili Dog Casserole

Tear up 8 hot dog buns and lay in bottom of casserole dish. Cut up 8 hot dogs into bite size pieces and spread over buns. Pour a can of chili over (I used homemade chili from my freezer instead) Add some chopped onions and shredded cheese. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.

I'm not claiming this is healthy but (lol) my vegetarian friend said she made it for her hubby and son with tofu dogs. I thought it was a good idea b/c Eli is too little to actually eat a chili dog without making a mess....but he was able to eat this with a fork and he loved it!
