So true!!!!
We have just learned this week that a friend and co-worker of mine who was recovering from cancer treatment (and who was in the office last week) is now in hospital, with untreatable tumours throughout her body. She is being moved to the palliative ward. DH, DS and I saw her on Sunday (she was in the hospital, but just to prepare for some tests this week) and by Monday night we got word that after the scans they determined there was nothing they could do.

Aside from the sadness of the situation (and the fact I still can't believe it's real) it's been making me think all week of how I get so worked up about things that aren't important, and I need to really slow down and appreciate what I have, ya know?
It's so easy to get caught up in the "little things" and forget the big picture.
