As usual I can't believe it is another month! Happy September.
Jess- I keep forgetting to tell you that I saw another person with a LO named Irelyn on a different board that I read.

Cannot believe it is September already!! FUN!
Have not read the end of August thread...hopefully I can soon!
So for those not on Facebook wanted to share my grad school news. I was accepted and think all other areas are shaping up to be in line for it too!! I still have not seen my financial aid packet so that may be a bust. I did go in and talk with them and apparently they have my FAFSA, I was not selected to show verification, and the lady said I should be in line for loans. Now I just have to hear from them! So excited! Classes start tonight! I am enrolled in 3 classes, which is a full load for grad school. Should be interesting! I am going to go tonight and hope the financial aid stuff is figured out ASAP!!

You are going to be bust Jen! What classes are you taking?
I need to try and figure out some things to do with the kids this weekend. Hopefully I can find a pool that is open and maybe the bounce house place will be too.

Really Cara? That's neat about another Irelyn.
Beth, what made you make such a big decision?!
That's awesome Jen! You have come so far! I'm so excited for you! Even if you have to take out loans, it'll be totally worth it!
I had to go to the endocrinologist today because my primary care dr is worried about my thyroid. The endo is scheduling me for an ultrasound and possible bioposies, eeek.

Good luck Jess. My best friend here just went through that. Everything checked out great. Just remember that most of the time, it's just fine and when it's not, it's a pretty easy fix. Last week I was wishing for thyroid problems. LOL! Is it enlarged or do you have symptoms?
That's a big decision Beth. Hope it works out well.
We visited Jamie's preschool today. Looks like it will be tons of fun!

I hope everything is OK with your thyroid Jess.
I can't believe you are getting rid of all the reptiles Beth! It sounds like they have been a lot of work without much reward. Hopefully you can find good homes for all of them. I'm sure it will be nice to have the space.

Yes, I had all this done after Irelyn was born and was supposed to keep following up but with the moves and 2 more kids, I've been a slacker. It is englarged and I have family history of thyroid problems so I have to keep on it. They are going to compare this ultrasound with the one from 3 yrs ago to see if the nodules have increased in size and if they have then I will need another biopsy. Results last time were fine but the size of the nodules were borderline worrisome so it's just a guessing game of what they might be 3 yrs later.
I have to go to the dermatologist tomorrow... I hate all these appts! But it's also good to keep up with the stuff. Pap and dentist is also this month, LOL!

^^^ That's a lot. I found out last week I only need a pap every 2 years and 3 years after I'm 30 so I was stoked to find I didn't need one this year. I don't want to talk about the dentist. LOL!
I have a lot of followups right now though and they may want me to see a cardiologist for a heart workup.

So you're going to find out that you're having the triplets Jess?
In a nutshell it's just been costing more than it's worth. Today already we've gotten rid of three tortoises, like a dozen leopard geckos, 6 cages, and 6 snakes. A lady is coming tonight to get 4 of the large lizards. Tomorrow Rob has to help one of friends get some of the racks and a few cages (he only has a car, so that wont work obviously). There is also another 2 guys coming tonight to look at stuff, and tomorrow Rob is going to trade three snakes for a prairie dog Mammals are a lot more handleable and rewarding than reptiles.
I'm excited about the space and changing the basement around into a bigger playroom, and then we'll have a 'nursery' whether Rob likes it or not

Hi!
First day of school is over, Noah came home crying because his chest hurts for some reason. Hope it's not just school excuses :/

Not sure what you mean by this lol! I am taking ANOTHER freaking research class...this time applied research though. Then a seminar on Immigration issues and deportation and lastly, intro to community social psychology. I had the first two today and the intro class on Tuesday. Honestly, I feel like it is totally manageable! Maybe I will feel different when I am trying to balance it all. For now, i am loving it!
Beth I am really surprised about the creatures! They have been such a huge part of your identity. Glad you have a plan though.
Hope you find something fun Cara!
Eeek on all those appts Jess! I do not want to be in your shoes! keep us posted on the thyroid. Hope it is still nothing...
Yay for Jamie and preschool!! Glad you are feeling better Cindy.
Busy weekend ahead...homework, of course, then a family thing with Ryan's family on Sat, taking the kids to zoo on Sunday, and then Monday is appts and labor day fun. I don't think I shared my frustrations about the zoo with you guys. Ryan and I drove the kids down to the zoo on Monday since that is his day off. Drove all the way to Mendon, MA where there is an awesome zoo. Got there and the power was out still due to the hurricane! Hour and a half long trip wasted!!!

Oh man Jen, that sucks about the zoo. Were the kids upset?
After 2 weeks of getting quotes to have our living room/dining room wood floors refinished we finally picked out a company and I made an appt. They are coming next Thursday. Not looking forward to all the noise and dust, plus or dining room is a pass through from the family room to the rest of the house. I guess it's a good thing that we have a sliding door off the family room and one into the kitchen so I guess we'll be using that to pass through while they are working on the floors....

I got RJ a big boy booster today for the car. He's still small enough to fit in his other one, but I have been thinking about getting him a booster for a while, and then I noticed the neighbor's pics of her son in his car seat, and it's one of those REAAALLY old ones with the bar across the front, and it's gotta be expired, so I offered her ours. I know you're not supposed to use used car seats, but I KNOW this one was never in an accident and it's not expired, and I have never washed the straps, so it's as safe to her as it was out of the box.
I ALSO dropped my phone in the toilet yesterday, so I am waiting for a new one to come, and of course I do it on a holiday weekend so it'll be like weds before the new one comes. At least we kept the blackberries so I'm not too out of touch until then.
Sucks about the zoo Jen Rob probably would have been more irritated than me if it were in our case, he's the one who hates driving with the kids lol.
So we got rid of A LOT of stuff last night, all we have left is 3 bull snakes, 1 king snake, a tegu, and some boas, both adults and babies. I'm hoping for a few more people to pick out what they want before tues/weds. I got in contact with a guy from Milwaukee who is going to come and get the rest of everything then. It looks so much bigger down there already with a lot of the caging gone.
Rob is getting me a prairie dog tonight (trading a few snakes for it, and it comes with a chinchilla? and cage and food and stuff, so we're not out of animals completely, just reptiles. I am also going to get a fish tank with taxes. I want a really nice corner bowfront so it will cost more than we have right now.

Jen, bust=busy. I'm on here on my phone a lot and I get crazy typos. That sucks about the zoo. That is a long drive with nothing at the end. Those sound like interesting classes.
Rough night with Ali last night. I think she has another ear infection so I'll be taking the day off to deal with that. Poor baby. At least it isn't the weekend and I can get her in. Poor baby is still sleeping and it is almost 8.
