How is school going for the little ones who are enrolled in a school program?

Kyler goes Tue. He is just doing preschool this year. We will be visiting the 4K room at his school for next year.

We are so done with preschool, lol We are homeschoolers, so we sort of go with the flow, so to speak. Cassidy flew through our preschool curriculum and has started kindergarten this fall. Simple stuff, learning to read, numbers to 100, addition to 10, that sort of thing. She's one of those kids who's always been one step ahead of me...I was planning on this being her last year of preschool, but when I looked at the material I realized she would be bored doing shapes and colors yet again, and she was begging to read. So we took the plunge, lol...even though Mommy wasn't prepared She's been loving it.

Home schoolers, do you have a schedule? We are doing the same here with Jocelyn. We are a very non-scheduled family so that is the hardest. I know it helps with getting in the learning mode to have schedules. We did get her a full size student desk at a garage sale for $5 so that is fun for her.

Meredith isn't in school yet, but I work with her at home. Her favorite thing right now seems to be addition. A couple of weeks ago, my parents had two watermelons and my dad brought 2 more from their garden and Mere yelled across the yard, "LOOK MAMA!! TWO WATAMELONS!! AND PAPA HAS TWO WATAMELONS!! SO NOW WE HAVE FOUR WATAMELONS!" She was so excited. (Still working on her R's in some words, LOL)

^ We work 5 days a week, starting at 9 am, until she's done. Which is usually by 10, it really doesn't take long.

^ That's so cute! She's definitely going to be ahead of the game in math!
