I sure hope one of you will have some sound advice for me.
The teacher, my mom and I are at our wits end.

Main issue is Aydan is terrified of the flush toilets. TERRIFIED!! He has never really liked them since he was a baby and I took him in Walmart with me and someone flushed and he screamed. We've always managed though. At preschool he did ok for a day or so but one time while he was using it he must have moved and the electric eye went off and it flushed prematurely and the teacher said she heard this high pitched blood curdling SCRRRRRRRRRRRRREAM!!! The bus driver and teacher went running and he was standing there terrified. He was crying waving his hands back and forth and saying the potty went "WHOOSHHHHHH!!!!" They got him calmed down and after school was over he came home for the day.

Later I took him the the public toilets in town (we live in a tourist city) and at first he wouldn't go in and I have never seen him so scared in my life. It was HORRIBLE! He was trembling. I got him back to the car and called my mom. She talked to him and he said he would go back. We went and even though he was scared he went with me and he even flushed for me! I was so proud. Next day he went to school armed with "magic" earplugs and my mom made some post-it notes with little notes on them and some with stickers so he could put those over the electric eye and the toilet wouldn't flush until he wanted it to. That worked wonders! For one day. It was the weekend so Tuesday he wet himself instead of going to the potty. (thank goodness they had us send extra clothes at the beginning of the year). Again we had the talks and he was all stoked to go back.

The teacher called today and he hasn't gone to the bathroom. He's frightened again. He refuses to go. She has him off the carpet area playing with playdough in case of an accident. He wouldn't talk to me on the phone or my mom. The teacher wants me to come to school with him the next two days. Ok. That was the first call today.

Second call. Aydan was playing with the playdough in another area and decides he wants to play in the sandbox and this other little boy refused to leave. So, my little darling bites him and chases him away. Again he refused to talk to me or gramma. Come to find out they have said he has pushed, shoved or hit a couple of times. He is a good, sweet little boy so I'm at a loss. I don't know what to do. He gets frustrated here lately but we talk about it and he seems fine. Nothing out of the ordinary. He's been wanting to go to bed early so that stopped any frustration there.

I need help to figure it out. I have no clue what to do from here.

It sounds like he is very frustrated. Have you tried bribery? Hayden was scared to use the "big potty" so we bought a bag of m&m's and told him every time he peed/pooped on it he could pick out 3 m&m's and it worked. He is now not using his little potty anymore and going on the regular toilet. You can uses anything that he likes as a "reward" for going on the potty. I hope you can get this all figured out *hugs*

Yeah. mom promised him he could pick out a toy if he went back into the public restroom with me that day. She said they would pick it out on the computer etc etc.. really built it up. So he was ready the next day and did great!

He's not scared of our toilet and flushes it all the time. He'll go in public ones with Robert or me and does fine. He is just flipping out about the one at school because it makes such a loud noise and he got splashed with water when it went off that day.

Aydan just came home and he didn't have an accident at school. He still refused to go but he held it. When he got home he went LOTS!

Elizabeth does not like how loud public toilets flush either. If I am there she plugs her ears and I flush for her. The other day I watched her do it herself. She plugged her ears and used her elbow to flush! Would daycare let you bring a little potty for him to use? Or would a potty seat help? (I know it is the sound, but maybe that would make the whole thing look less scary?

The biting is a tough one. I would just reinforce that when he is upset he needs to use words. Could he still need some more sleep or maybe an extra snack?

Good point. I'm wondering myself if he got enough sleep. Also, he doesn't eat a lot of what he is given at school so it could be a sugar imbalance maybe?

I talked to the teacher about bringing his potty seat and she said she didn't think it would be possible but she is going to ask. Hopefully me going tomorrow will help and we won't need to worry about it.
