This started yesterday. When I cough, I get a horrible pain on the right side of my belly. It hurts SO bad. It's only when I cough though. I think I picked up something at work from the kids. Nice way to leave the job huh.. anyway is this something I should be concerned about or just chalk it up to pregnancy pains? I know when we cough, we use our stomach muscles and it is probably how she is positioned.. but I don't know. I have an appt. Friday. Do you think I should wait until then to say something or call early? I guess it depends if it gets worse or not. Ahh, the joys of a first time pregnancy.. wow am I clueless..

I think i have a similar problem. I've had a horrible cough since last week.
I feel almost like I pulled something on my right in the top of my uterus when I cough.
It pulls this spot, which is sort of a burning feeling and then I get BH contractions if I cough too much.
is that anything like what you're feeling?

I'd "guess" it's probably a pulled muscle from coughing. If it keep up or gets any worse you might want to put a call in. But it's most likely nothing to worry about if it only happens when you cough.
Hope you feel better soon!!

I'm not sure how to describe the pain. I guess it does kind of feels like a pulled muscle. It's just so sore and when I cough, I just want to cry. It's not like you can just stop yourself from coughing. It's terrible.

I would agree that you possibly pulled something. I find it very uncomfortable when I cough lately also. The other night I sneezed really bad and pulled something on the right side of my belly. I couldn't move for maybe a minute, but it finally eased. It remained sore for a day or two. Just think of how our ligaments are stretched lately, its no wonder its painful to cough or sneeze.

Hope it feels better.
