Well Im off to see my Peri for hopefully my last appt with that practice (Im still being seen by the MFM group at Hopkins). This is the final blessing u/s to check her growth (the lil chunker!) and to switch my medicine over to Heparin. Im not thrilled about the med switch at all as it means MORE shots per day, AND the manufacturer of the drug JUST recalled their ENTIRE produced quantities about a month ago so finding the meds is next to impossible- but it has to happen so I can have a safer delivery. I hope to have a good update for everyone when I get back!
If anyone could offer some average size baby vibes, thoughts, prayers- I would greatly appreciate it! Im praying she isnt huge!
ETA: UPDATE
Well Im back- that was a quick one! The Dr isnt going to switch me over to Heparin yet due to the recall- he isnt comfortable with the current supply- and since its still in the safe range for me to take the Lovenox he will leave me on that till 37 weeks then make the switch. Now I just have to pray and old out for the switch as I cant very well go into labor on the Lovenox and have an "ideal" outcome- so please pray I can hold out till at least 38 weeks!
As for her size- she is measuring 6lbs 2oz which the Dr said is the large side of average, but very good and healthy. He is not concerned about her being too big to deliver and doesnt feel the need to check her size again before delivery- which is a relief! He said to expect an 8-9lb little girl, but other than that- no big deal! Im thrilled and much more at ease about her size. Ive been having nightmares about 12-14 pounders, LOL! So no toddler baby for me it seems thank goodness! We got some 4-D pics and I will try to get DH to scan them tonight so I can post them. She is SO cute! She has hair, and my nose (we think, hehe), big pouty lips and chubby cheeks LOL! Im in lub-
