I don’t have a quote for today, but I have a mental exercise for you! I want us all to spend at least ten quiet minutes today daydreaming! Yes, just relaxing and imagining things. You can daydream about anything you want! The perfect birth, your child going to Harvard, spending a day at the spa, or an extravagant shopping spree! Whatever you want!

I remember reading somewhere that when women think about shopping and imagine in detail purchasing some of their favorite items that chemicals in the brain were actually produced as if they were actually getting that “shoppers high” without actually buying anything!

Visualizing labor the way you want it to be can help you be calm and focused on your goal. Also, it can be very reassuring to just imagine everything being perfect! Instead of worrying, imagine an ideal outcome!

Oh I do this ALL the time! I visualize positive things happening, or doing things that make me happy. Today will probably be focused on birth since I'm reading a book on hypnobirthing.

Honestly, it's going to sound dumb, but I am totally in love with cute cloth diapers and lately I imagine having as many as I want. I even found some girls that do custom work and have been dreaming up the perfect custom diapers for my little one! How fun is that?! *LOL*

I will daydream about my baby and the type of person that I want to raise her to become. I might also sneak a day dream in about chocolate cake batter ice cream from Cold Stone.
