Hello ladies! I'm in somewhat of a tricky situation... I started my job roughly 2 months ago and just got my BFP. I'm not sure if I should tell them now, so they're aware of all the appointments I'll be going to or if I should wait until I start showing. When are you planning on telling your boss?

I had to tell mine because I had appointments every other week, but if you only have to go once a month, I wouldn't tell right away. I guess it depends on how comfortable you are with your boss and coworkers.

Well sometimes i have to lift heavy things, so if i have to do that i am going to say i have done my back in. I am not telling my work or other family members until i have had my 12 week scan. It's really up to you hun and what you feel comfortable with, but if you are gonna have some time off you dont need to tell them why, you just need to say its a doctors appointment, just be sure to take your appointment card to work to show them!

I would probably wait until I started showing, especially since you just started. In the beginning you only see the OB once a month so it will not be too inconvenient to schedule around your work.

I told right away because I am a huge blabermouth. I really think it is what you are comfortable with. Do you think your boss will be upset?

I don't think anybody would be upset, I honestly think they'd be happy for me. I just want to be respectful by giving them enough notice, but not jeapordize my job in the process.

I told my immediate coworkers today (by accident) - but, I haven't told my boss yet. I also told my mom.
DH doesn't want to tell anyone until after our appointment in May. So, like last time, he doesn't want to hear that I've told people, nor does he want people to know.
I am going to hold off on telling my boss for a while yet. I don't want any "special" treatment or for him to think less of me. (He's kind of that way)

I told them because 1) We do heavy lifting at work and 2) the morning nausea and frequent urination set in quickly. They were starting to wonder why I ran to the bathroom every 5 seconds anyway!

I think I'll wait until I have my first appointment in May, just so I can answer any questions they might have. Thanks for all the input!

I told my two best friends already, and plan on telling my family today or really soon, but I'm not telling my work until June or so.

I have only told 2 of my close friends at work and I know they won't tell anyone. I was going to tell my boss yesterday because I had my yearly review, but they have recently cut hours and their looking into possibly having to lay off people, so I've put that on hold. I don't need to give them a reason to get rid of me. I'll probably just wait until I'm to the point that I'm gonna have to say something; like when I start showing.

I had to tell them at work today due to my job. I work in a alzheimer's unit. We had 2 elders get into a fight and I made 2 other girls go handle it. Normally I would have helped but I am not going to take any chances. So after it was all over the charge nurse wanted to know why I did not get involved. So I had to tell her.

I told my boss last week after my first doc appt. I felt that he should know what was going on with me, in case I called in sick, or had a doc appt. He was really great about it, and told me he wouldn't tell anyone. He actually suggested that I not tell people at work until after 12 weeks, his wife had 2 m/c. I told my good friend here at work, but that's it!!! Not to mention I work with mostly all guys, and they probably won't even care!

I work in a doctors office and the other nurse is the one who did my hcg test, so they kinda knew. They were a lot happier than I thought, being I just started there at the beginning of this year. Talking about baby showers and stuff already. I had to tell them to settle down!!

I haven't told anyone at work yet. But maybe I should. I'm a nursing assitant in a nursing home, so my job is pretty physical. I'm trying to be careful. I have been asking my co-workers to help me transfering and repositioning some of the people I usually do by myself. I called in sick for tonight. I am not really nauseated, but I am just exausted and I need to sleep. (I work nights). I think when I work again on Saturday, when they ask me if I am feeling better I will tell them that I am pregnant. I think that because of the nature of my job, I need to tell sooner rather than later. I've worked there close to two years now, so it's not like I just started and I'm sure everyone will be happy for me.

I told my boss. I work in daycare in a toddler classroom. So I figured I would prepare her. Of course my boss is my best friend so it all works out. I only work 4 days a week so all my appts will be on my day off. Actually I told my boss, and a couple other coworkers cause I had really bad morning sickness the past few days.
