So I'm busy looking at our list of things to pack for the hospital as well as what is listed in some books and one of them suggests bringing a top for the hospital pictures. Do you plan to have a special top/blanket/hat for the hospital pictures?

We are going to pass on the hospital pics. We've never done them and honestly I've never seen good ones. I'll do my own newborn pics to share with family/friends.

When Kylie was born, they did the hospital pics right before we were released to go home...but when we went for preregistration last week, they told us they dont do the same pics anymore (they would take them and send them out to some company, now they just take them and you order right through the hospital). So, Im not sure when they will take them. If it happens to be before he is in his coming home outfit, maybe I will just put that on him quickly for the pics...

We did not buy the hospital pics with DS because they were REALLY expensive. We took lots of our own and will do the same this time and then take her out for some professional ones after a few weeks. We are taking a special coming home outfit and will take pics of her in that.

not doing them. we did them with DS#1 and they charged us a fortune and the pictures didn't come out too well because they were rushing through them. I'm better taking pics with my cam and fixing them up at home. Heck, worse comes to worse I can even photoshop a digital background in and make them look like pro portraits.

I don't think we'll be doing the hospital pics. We got a coupon for a free portrait package from Olan Mills and will take him there. We'll take a million pics ourself though, lol.

You have to pay for hospital pictures here which I won't do. I did take pictures of Aiden in the hospital when he was born but his eyes were always closed unless the room lights were off so we really didn't start taking pictures until he was 2 days old. He didn't wear anything special in the hospital and I won't bring anything special this time around either.

We got the hospital pictures with Mike and Pat and they really were kind of cruddy, so we didn't do them with Caroleigh, just took our own and used those. I took the pic in her t-shirt from the hospital.
We used this pic....
But I also took one in the special shirt the hospital gave us, it said something about them being little treasures or something and had the hospital name on it. We didn't use the pic because she was scremaing her head off...lol

My hospital baby picture is the only baby picture I have of myself.. or that ever existed :'(
I've already got baby's first outfit picked out  It's just a onesie and booties and a cap but I can't wait!

When Rylie was born I never knew when they took the pictures so she was just in the hospital blanket. It's been 5 years so I don't know if it's changed since then or not.

I think our hospital gives us the choice, so we'll see how her picture turns out. My niece and nephew's newborn photos actually turned out great so I'm hoping Isabella's will too. I heard they are pretty pricey though. She will be wearing the outfit she'll come home in.

We won't do the hospital pics this time. We did with Seth and it was just a big headache! They were wanting to do the pics and the L&D nurses were yelling at them to come back later because they were trying to discharge me. Then they came back when we had like 8 visitors at once and I was trying to get our bags packed to leave. Then we didn't even get any because they were expensive and not that great. We'll just take our own!
